Development of tobacco varieties with no or significantly reduced anatabine content
A process for producing a reduced tobacco-specific nitrosamine (TSNA) tobacco plant comprising reducing and/or eliminating anatabine biosynthesis in wild-type tobacco plant. In addition, use of such plants for discovery of molecular markers that are closely linked with genes required for anatabine biosynthesis and for discovery of genes required for anatabine biosynthesis. In addition, a smoking composition, a smoking article and a smokeless tobacco oral delivery product contain the tobacco material.

ACTIVE INGREDIENT-CONTAINING NANOEMULSIONS
The present disclosure provides nanoemulsions including one or more active ingredients (e.g., one or more cannabinoid and/or cannabimimetics), formulated for use as tinctures or shots. Such nanoemulsions, tinctures, and shots can exhibit high physical stability, e.g., exhibiting no observable phase separation over a period of 6 months or more or 12 months or more.
ORALLY DISSOLVING FILMS
An oral product in the form of an edible film is provided herein. The edible film can include a binder in an amount of at least about 30 percent by weight; a plasticizer in an amount of at least about 5 percent by weight; and an active agent, wherein the edible film is orally dissolvable. The edible film can also be used as a component of another oral product, e.g., a fleece-based pouched product. The edible film can form a coating on a portion of an interior or exterior surface of a fleece-based pouched product.
ORAL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF MANUFACTURE
An oral product configured for oral use is provided herein, the oral product including: at least one sugar substitute in an amount from about 25% to about 45% by weight, based on the total weight of the oral product; a gum in an amount from about 35% to about 55% by weight, based on the total weight of the oral product; a basic amine; and an organic acid, an alkali metal salt of an organic acid, or a combination thereof; wherein the organic acid has a log P value of from about 1.0 to about 12.0; wherein at least a portion of the basic amine is associated with at least a portion of the organic acid or the alkali metal salt thereof, the association in the form of a basic amine-organic acid salt, an ion pair between the basic amine and a conjugate base of the organic acid, or both; and wherein the oral product is in the form of a pastille.

EFFERVESCENT ORAL COMPOSITION
The disclosure provides a multi-layered tablet configured for oral use, the tablet including a first layer including an effervescent composition and a second layer including a non-effervescent composition. The effervescent composition includes an effervescent material; one or more fillers in a total amount of at least about 30% by weight, the one or more fillers including at least one sugar alcohol; and at least one active ingredient. The non-effervescent composition includes one or more fillers in a total amount of at least about 30% by weight, the one or more fillers including at least one sugar alcohol; a binder; and a second active ingredient.
CANNABIDIOL-DOMINANT FORMULATIONS, METHODS OF MANUFACTURING, AND USES THEREOF
Stable liquid formulations dominant in cannabidiol (CBD) can be manufactured by a sequential process of purification to create a formulation that does not crystallize under a variety of storage and use conditions, and without the use of potentially harmful additives. For example, the formulation may be used in vaporization devices (i.e., electronic cigarettes) that typically require formulations to remain in a non-crystalline, non-solid, or non-partially solid state. The liquid formulations dominant in CBD may further contain other phytocannabinoids, including, but not limited to, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabigerol (CBG), cannabichromene (CBC), cannabinol (CBN), and cannabidivarin (CBDV) in higher concentrations than unrefined and refined cannabis extracts obtained via existing methods.
MOGROSIDES AND USE THEREOF
The present invention provides a process for preparation of compositions comprising novel mogrosides from fruit of Siraitia grosvenorii. The compositions have superior organoleptic properties compared to known mogroside compositions and are useful in wider range of consumables including foods and beverages.
Chilled Pouch Material for Nicotine Pouch
Nicotine containing article for smokeless and oral usage comprising a wrapping material and a nicotine containing product, the nicotine containing product being arranged inside the wrapping material, wherein the wrapping material encloses the nicotine containing product from all sides and thereby forms the nicotine containing article in the shape of a pouch, and wherein the wrapping material is fluid permeable and thereby allows a fluid, preferably with nicotine absorbed from the nicotine containing product, to pass through it. According to the invention at least a part of the wrapping material also comprises cooling agent which causes a cooling effect when using the nicotine containing article, wherein the cooling agent is neutral in taste and/or odour.
