A method for manufacturing a rod-shaped aerosol-generating article is provided, including: arranging segments in a row along a longitudinal direction; wrapping a first sheet around at least one of the segments; and wrapping a second sheet around at least one of the segments so as to at least partially overlap the first sheet, such that upon wrapping the second sheet, an electromagnetic information marker is created, the electromagnetic information marker including a first structure provided on the first sheet and a second structure provided on the second sheet. A rod-shaped aerosol-generating article, an aerosol-generating system, and a sheet, are also provided.
Rod with wrapper comprising gluing cavities
The invention relates to a cylindrical rod (10) for aerosol-generating articles comprising a rod component (12) being circumscribed by a wrapper (14). The wrapper comprises laterally opposed edge portions which overlap so as to form an overlapping zone (16). Glue (24) is applied to the overlapping edge portions of the wrapper, by which the overlapping edge portions are adhered to each other. The glue is applied in such way, so as to form one or more glue zones (22) within the overlapping zone. The wrapper further comprises a plurality of cavities (26), wherein at least a part of the cavities is provided in the one or more glue zones. The invention further relates to a method for preparing a cylindrical rod for aerosol-generating articles.
A ROD ARTICLE DISTRIBUTION APPARATUS
The present application relates to a rod article distribution apparatus (10) for distributing rod articles (50) between at least two storage columns. The apparatus (10) has a rod article infeed (20), a rod article distributor (30) having an epicyclic drum arrangement, and at least two rod article receiving channels (41). The rod article distributor (30) is configured to distribute rod articles (50) between the at least two rod article receiving channels (41). The present application also relates to a rod article making apparatus and a method of distributing rod articles between at least two storage columns.
SMOKING ARTICLE AND ASSOCIATED MANUFACTURING METHOD
A method and apparatus for forming a smoking article are provided and involve engaging a heat generation segment and a tobacco rod segment with the wrapping material in a longitudinally spaced-apart relation, the outer wrapping material having a heat-conductive strip engaged therewith, and the heat generation segment and/or the tobacco rod segment at least partially overlapping one end of the heat-conductive strip. Lateral ends of the wrapping material are wrapped at most partially about the heat generation and tobacco rod segments such that the heat generation and tobacco rod segments cooperate with the heat-conductive strip to define a longitudinally-extending cavity accessible between the respective lateral ends of the wrapping material and heat-conductive strip. Aerosol generation elements are deposited into the longitudinally-extending cavity (i.e., by gravity feed) between the lateral ends of the heat-conductive strip, and the cavity is closed by overlapping and sealing the lateral ends of the wrapping material.
AEROSOL GENERATING ARTICLE COMPRISING A HEAT SOURCE
An aerosol-generating article is provided, including: a fluid guide having proximal and distal ends, and an inner longitudinal region including an inner longitudinal passageway between the distal end and the proximal end thereof, such that fluid can travel from the distal end to the proximal end, the fluid guide including a barrier between the inner and outer longitudinal passageways; a tubular element including a gel or a porous medium or a thread loaded or any combination, the gel or the medium or the thread or the combination includes an active agent, the tubular element having proximal and distal ends and disposed to a distal side of the fluid guide; an aperture to allow fluid to pass to the tubular element and exit the article at the proximal end; a combustible heat source at the distal end of the article; and a cavity between the fluid guide and the tubular element.
Smokeless Cannabis-Hemp
The present invention provides a commercial process for preparing the ‘Smokeless Cannabis-Hemp’ into a soothing, impactful, and smooth smoking experience; that also acts as an effective replacement for Tobacco Smoking. The process produces both a processed and heat cooked ‘smokeless product’ blend that can be mixed with various fillers, herbs, and flavors; and inserted into a smoking vessel of any type, or processed into a cigarette or cigar, for smoking purposes.
The commercial process entails the combining of various raw cannabinoids, decarboxylated cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids that are found in the Cannabis-Hemp Plant; with other herbs, fillers, and flavors for the purposes of creating a smooth and impactful smoking experience that does not disturb or harm others in the surrounding environment.
To accomplish this process, the Cannabis-Hemp Plant must be correctly processed, and a quantity of the Cannabis-Hemp Plant must be correctly processed and heat-cooked, with added flavorings. The heat-cooked Cannabis-Hemp plant may then be blended with other herbs, flavorings, and chemicals for maximum efficacy.
METHOD FOR APPLYING HEAT CONDUCTING PATCHES TO A MATERIAL WEB
A smoking article is provided, including a carbonaceous combustible heat source, an aerosol-forming substrate, and a wrapper circumscribing at least the heat source and the aerosol-forming substrate. One or more heat conducting elements overlie a rear portion of the heat source and an adjacent front portion of the aerosol-forming substrate. At least one heat conducting element includes a patch of thermally conductive printable medium printed onto the wrapper. Also provided is a method for applying heat conducting patches onto a web of smoking article wrapper material, wherein at least some of the patches include an area of thermally conductive printable medium.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MANUFACTURING AEROSOL-GENERATING SEMI-FINISHED PRODUCTS
The method and apparatus for manufacturing aerosol-generating semi-finished products comprise the steps of combining substantially cylindrical segments along a longitudinal first motion path. The following steps are performed along the first motion path: feeding a stream of at least three different segments along the first motion path, thereby arranging the at least three segments in alternating order, wrapping the stream of at least three segments in a sheet material to form an endless rod of segments, and cutting the endless rod of segments, thereby separating the endless rod of segments into wrapped segment rods. The method also comprises the step of processing wrapped segment rods along a second motion path, wherein the following step is performed along the second motion path: receiving the wrapped segment rods in flutes of a fluted receiving drum, wherein an end of the first motion path is aligned with a longitudinal axis of the flutes of the fluted receiving drum.

The invention relates to a method for marking a wrapping paper for smoking articles, comprising the following steps: (A) providing a wrapping paper for smoking articles, and (B) producing register marks on the wrapping paper by treating the surface of the wrapping paper with laser radiation having an energy density y in J-m-2, to which the following applies: y=k.Math.x, whereby x is the enthalpy of combustion per volume of the wrapping paper in J.Math.m.sup.−2.Math.μm.sup.−1, and k is at least −8 μm and at most −1 μm.
Aerosol generating articles and methods for manufacturing the same
A sheet-type aerosol generating article includes at least two aerosol generating sheets each having aerosol generating material and an inductively heatable susceptor The inductively heatable susceptor is positioned between the aerosol generating sheets and each of the aerosol generating sheets has an exposed surface.
