COMBUSTIBLE TOBACCO PRODUCT DESIGN SYSTEM AND METHOD

A method of designing a target combustible tobacco product, the method comprising receiving respective values for a plurality of input parameters (101); calculating respective values for a plurality of design parameters (130) for the combustible tobacco product based on the received values for the plurality of input parameters, and providing the calculated values as an output. The plurality of design parameters comprise at least two parameters selected from: a tobacco blend composition; tar, nicotine and carbon monoxide deliveries; a smoke sensory attribute; a number of puffs associated with the combustible tobacco product; combustible tobacco product dimensions; tobacco weight; tobacco rod and/or filter density; tobacco rod and/or filter firmness; open and/or closed combustible tobacco product pressure drop; filter pressure drop; cigarette paper porosity; and ventilation level.

NON-STICKING TIPPING PAPER, PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION METHOD OF THE SAME

A non-sticking lip tipping paper is disclosed that includes a base paper, a color layer and a surface coating. The color layer is formed by printing and drying a color ink on the base paper; the surface coating includes a water-based glue and is coated thereon after drying the color layer. The water-based glue includes the following components by weight: 30-65 parts of a modified water-based resin solution, 10-20 parts of water, 8-15 parts of ethanol, and 5-12 parts of a water-based additive. The water-based additive is a mixture of a wax emulsion and magnesium silicate in a weight ratio of 1:5. A preparation method and a method of applying the non-sticking lip tipping paper are also disclosed.

MACHINE AND METHOD FOR MAKING A SUB-UNIT OF A SMOKING ARTICLE

A machine for making sub-units of smoking articles comprises a conveyor, a feed unit, cutting means and at least one rotary applicator. The conveyor is configured to feed a succession of tubular segments of the tobacco industry. The feed unit is configured to feed and convey at least one continuous web. The cutting means are configured to separate a succession of closing elements from a front end of the continuous web. The rotary applicator is operatively associated with the conveyor and is configured to pick up the succession of closing elements and to apply them, preferably by gluing, to an application end of a respective tubular segment, in such a way as to form closing walls to at least partly close the application ends.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED PRODUCTION OF CIGARETTES

An enclosed cannabis cigarette preparation system that includes an indexing module configured to accept a plurality of pre-rolled cones, each having a sealed end and an open end, and to move the pre-rolled cones through a plurality of stations. The system further includes a filling module configured to dispense, at a first station, a portion of cannabis shake material into the open end of each of the pre-rolled cones to form loosely filled cones; a tamping module configured to compress, at a second station, the cannabis shake material in each of the loosely filled cones to form tamped cones; a de-clogging module; and a pinching module configured to pinch-twist, at a third station, the open end of each of the pre-rolled cones to form rolled cigarettes.

MACHINE AND METHOD FOR MAKING A SUB-UNIT OF A SMOKING ARTICLE

A machine for making sub-units of smoking articles includes a conveyor, a feed unit and an applicator. The conveyor conveys a succession of tubular segments transversely along a conveying direction. The feed unit feeds and conveys a continuous web and advances the web along a feed direction parallel to the conveying direction of the tubular segments so that the web faces respective application ends of the tubular segments. The applicator is movable along an application direction parallel to an axis of predominant extension of the succession of tubular segments and is configured to engage the web so as to separate respective closing elements from it. The applicator is also configured to apply the closing element internally or externally on an application end of a respective tubular segment in such a way as to form a closing wall to at least partly close the application end.

Cone loading device and method therefor

A device for loading and forming smoking articles has a body section. A first socket is formed in a top area of the body section. A second socket is formed in a bottom area of the body section. A plurality of channels is formed in a bottom area of the first socket and each configured to hold a smoking article. A plate is rotatable within the first socket to allow one to align a desired number of a plurality of openings with corresponding channels of the plurality of channels. A pin member secures the plate in position. A cap is insertable into the first socket when loading the smoking articles and into the second socket to push the smoking articles out of the channels when loaded.

A carousel magazine that hold stacked paper or hemp smokable cones. The carousel is indexed with a home position sensor to a set of actuators that is controlled by air or electric to open and close two different tapped holders. For example, the top and bottom gripping actuators can open and close to hand off one cone from a stack of one or more cone one at a time. The top actuator with a tapered cone split holder housing grips the top of the upper most stacked cones while the bottom gripper moves up using a second linear actuator the grab the bottom semi-hard filter assemble to pull the bottom cone from the stack with the top gripper applies presser or friction to the top cone allowing to hand off one cone at a time from top gripper to bottom gripper. The second bottom gripper that has captured the bottom filter assemble of the cone moves in a downward position to place the single cone in a rotating turret assemble that will rotate to a filling station and then rotate to a twisting station for final processing and packaging. The cones can be pulled from a rotating stack or linear stack.

A pliable sheet is manufactured for use with smokable substances. The pliable sheet is completely sourced from female plants of the Cannabis genus. Source species include Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, or a blend thereof. A manufacture process entails processing and refining harvested plant material before it can be formed into the pliable sheet. After formation the pliable sheet is dried before it is ready for use. Flavoring and aromatic elements can be incorporated into the pliable sheet to enhance a smoking experience. Adhesives may also be integrated to facilitate rolling of the pliable sheet about smokable matter. Ideally, the adhesives are sticky oil extracts produced from plants of the Cannabis genus. The pliable sheet can be manufactured in a variety of thicknesses and sizes.
