An Aerosol Generating Device
An aerosol generating device includes a heating chamber arranged to receive a consumable and heat the consumable to generate an inhalable vapour; a consumable picker arranged to engage and retain a consumable, wherein the consumable picker is movable relative to the heating chamber between: a first, external position in which the consumable picker is positioned external to the device; and a second, internal position in which the consumable picker lies within the heating chamber; such that a user may engage a consumable with the consumable picker in the first position and subsequently move the consumable picker to the second position, thereby moving the consumable picker with the retained consumable into the heating chamber for heating. By providing an aerosol generating device including a consumable picker configured in this way, the process of exchanging the consumable is greatly simplified.
METHOD OF FORMING AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE WITH RETENTION MEDIUM
The method includes first providing a retention medium in a first element; coaxially aligning a plurality of elements, wrapping the coaxially aligned plurality of elements within a wrapper to form a portion of the aerosol-generating article, the plurality of elements including the first element, the aerosol-generating article having a first end and a second end, the second end being upstream from the first end based on an expected direction of airflow through the aerosol-generating article during normal operational use, second providing at least one capsule, the at least one capsule releasably containing a substrate, and inserting the at least one capsule within the first element, the retention medium being configured to retain the substrate after a release of the substrate from the at least one capsule, the retention medium being devoid of the substrate prior to the release of the substrate from the at least one capsule.
Cartridge orientation for selection of a control function in a vaporization system
The present disclosure relates to aerosol delivery devices comprising a power unit and a cartridge that is configured for engagement with the power unit. In particular, the cartridge can be configured for rotation about a longitudinal axis thereof so as to be insertable into a chamber of the power unit in a plurality of different orientations. Further, the aerosol delivery device can include processing circuitry that can be configured for detection of the cartridge orientation and execution of a control function assigned to the respective orientation.
Cartridge and inhaler
To provide an inhaler cartridge and an inhaler including a novel structure. Provided is a cartridge for an inhaler. The cartridge includes: a housing including an accommodation space capable of accommodating a liquid, an air flow passage, and a partition member partitioning the accommodation space and the air flow passage in a longitudinal direction; a heater configured to be capable of heating the liquid and arranged in the air flow passage; and an air inlet port provided at a position facing the partition member and communicating with the air flow passage. The housing includes an air outlet port communicating with the air flow passage, and a position of the air outlet port in a transverse direction at least partially overlaps in a longitudinal direction with a position of the heater in a transverse direction, or an end of the air outlet port close to a side of the air inlet port in a transverse direction is positioned on a side of the accommodation space relative to an end of the heater close to a side of the air inlet port in a transverse direction.
Electronic smoking article with improved storage of aerosol precursor compositions
The present disclosure relates to electronic smoking articles exhibiting improved moisture control of a reservoir contained therein. The reservoir can be formed of fibrous materials, such as cellulose acetate fiber, thermoplastic fiber, non-thermoplastic fiber, or a combination thereof. The disclosure further provides methods for forming electronic smoking articles and methods of packaging electronic smoking articles (including cartridges thereof) so as to improve moisture control of the reservoir.
Storage container and dispenser
A viscous concentrate dispensing device includes a storage container tube configured to hold a viscous concentrate, a first cap configured to fit over a first end of the storage container tube, and a second cap configured to fit over a second end of the storage container tube. The first and second cap hold the storage container tube in place for storage and seal the viscous concentrate within the storage container tube. A plunger is configured to fit in the first cap and the second cap and hold the plunger in place for storage. A seal is disposed within the storage container tube for extruding the viscous concentrate when a force is applied with the plunger to depress the seal.
Smart Electronic Mask, Headset and Inhaler
Provided is a smart inhaler, headset and wearable smart mask configured to operate as an air ionizer and a controlled multi-liquid atomizer. The smart mask, headset and smart inhaler use a mature technology to deliver various types of liquid solutions to different applications from health care, drug delivery, immunization to recreational and gaming uses. In addition, the smart mask and headset contain multiple actuators to provide haptic feedback to the areas around the mask and headset. The headset, smart mask and inhaler have a direct communication path to a smart device or it can be a smart device by itself; its various environmental and gas sensors act as a feedback mechanism. The detection level of the organic and non-organic VOC gas emitted when exhaling can be communicated and stored for analysis purposes. The detected gas can be regenerated on the same smart mask or a different remote smart mask.
Video analytics camera system for an aerosol delivery device
An aerosol delivery device includes a cartridge of aerosol precursor composition, and a control body coupled or coupleable to the cartridge. The control body includes a control component to control delivery of components of the aerosol precursor composition in response to detection of airflow through at least a portion of the cartridge or control body, and includes a camera system with a digital camera to capture video imagery of a scene in a field of view thereof. The camera system or the control component is configured to perform video content analytics on the video imagery to detect a temporal or spatial event in the scene, and transfer at least one of the video imagery or information indicative of the temporal or spatial event externally to a computing device configured to store or display the video imagery or information, or perform at least one control operation based on the information.
