The present invention relates to a compound of following formula (I), which is a novel prodrug of biguanide derivatives: (I). The present invention also relates to the preparation and methods of using the compound. The pharmaceutical composition possesses anti-cancer activity such as the induction of cell death, inhibition of cellular proliferation, inhibition of topoisomerase and/or poisoning of topoisomerase.

Synthesis and Antimicrobial Uses of Dinuclear Silver(I) Pyrazolates
Novel dinuclear silver(I) pyrazolido complexes and methods of synthesizing them are provided. Advantageously, the novel silver(I) pyrazolido complexes have excellent antimicrobial activity and methods of using said complexes to treat bacterial, fungal, and viral infections are also provided.
