Metal-ligand complex, catalyst composition for ethylene-based polymerization including the same, and method for preparing ethylene-based polymer using the same
Provided are a metal-ligand complex, a catalyst composition for ethylene-based polymerization including the same, and a method for preparing an ethylene-based polymer using the same. Since the metal-ligand complex of the present invention in which a certain functional group is introduced to a certain position has high solubility and catalytic activity, the catalyst composition comprising the same for ethylene-based polymerization including the same may produce an ethylene-based polymer having excellent physical properties.
Film-forming composition and method for fabricating film by using the same
A film-forming composition including a 3-intracyclic cyclopentadienyl precursor and dimethyethylamine is useful for Atomic Layer Deposition, and improves viscosity and volatility while maintaining unique features of metal precursors.
Erosion resistant metal oxide coatings
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to articles, coated articles and methods of coating such articles with a rare earth metal containing oxide coating. The coating can contain at least a first metal (e.g., a rare earth metal, tantalum, zirconium, etc.) and a second metal that have been co-deposited onto a surface of the article. The coating can include a homogenous mixture of the first metal and the second metal and does not contain mechanical segregation between layers in the coating.
Ligand compound, a preparation method thereof, a transition metal compound, and a preparation method thereof
The present invention relates to a novel ligand compound, a preparation method thereof, a transition metal compound including the ligand compound, and a preparation method thereof. The ligand compound of novel structure according to the present invention and the transition metal compound including the same may be used as a polymerization reaction catalyst for preparing olefin polymers.

Fluoropolyether-containing polymer-modified silane, surface treating agent, and treated article
A fluoropolyether-containing polymer-modified silane has general formula (1) ##STR00001##
wherein Rf is a monovalent fluorooxyalkyl or divalent fluorooxyalkylene-containing polymer residue, Y is a divalent to hexavalent hydrocarbon group which may have a silicon atom and/or a siloxane bond, W is a divalent to hexavalent hydrocarbon group which may have a silicon atom and/or a siloxane bond, R is independently an alkyl of 1 to 4 carbon atoms or phenyl, X is independently hydroxyl or a hydrolyzable group, the letters n, a and m are respectively integers from 1 to 3, 1 to 5 and 1 to 5, and α is 1 or 2. A surface treating agent containing this silane and/or a partial (hydrolytic) condensate thereof, when applied to an article, forms a coat of excellent water/oil repellency and abrasion resistance.
PROCESS FOR PREPARING A ZIRCONIUM-BASED METAL ORGANIC FRAMEWORK
There is provided a process for preparing a zirconium-based metal organic framework (Zr-MOF), the process comprising the steps (i) preparing a reaction mixture comprising zirconium ions, sulfate ions and at least one organic linker compound in an aqueous solvent; and (ii) heating the reaction mixture from step (i).

Transition metal bis(phenolate) complexes and their use as catalysts for olefin polymerization
This invention relates to transition metal complexes of a dianionic, tridentate ligand that features a central neutral heterocyclic Lewis base and two phenolate donors, where the tridentate ligand coordinates to the metal center to form two eight-membered rings. Preferably the bis(phenolate) complexes are represented by Formula (I): ##STR00001##
where M, L, X, m, n, E, E′, Q, R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.1′, R.sup.2′, R.sup.3′, R.sup.4′, A.sup.1, A.sup.1′, ##STR00002##
are as defined herein, where A.sup.1QA.sup.1′ are part of a heterocyclic Lewis base containing 4 to 40 non-hydrogen atoms that links A.sup.2 to A.sup.2′ via a 3-atom bridge with Q being the central atom of the 3-atom bridge.
