METHACRYLIC RESIN COMPOSITION AND OPTICAL COMPONENT

Provided is a methacrylic resin composition having excellent surface processability and displaying excellent preservability of formed surface processing. The methacrylic resin composition and an optical component contain a methacrylic resin including a structural unit (X) having a cyclic structure-containing main chain that is at least one selected from the group consisting of an N-substituted maleimide monomer-derived structural unit, a glutarimide-based structural unit, and a lactone ring structural unit. The methacrylic resin composition has a Vicat softening temperature of 120 C. to 160 C. Among methacrylic acid ester monomer-derived structural units, a ratio (S/H) of the integrated intensity (S) of a syndiotactic fraction (rr) relative to the integrated intensity (H) of a heterotactic fraction (mr), as determined by .sup.1H-NMR measurement, is 1.20 to 1.50. The amount of methanol-soluble content is 5 mass % or less relative to 100 mass %, in total, of methanol-soluble content and methanol-insoluble content.

HIGH-WEIGHT GLYCERIDE OLIGOMERS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME

Oligomers of certain glyceride compounds are generally disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the glyceride compounds include natural oil glycerides, such as glycerides derived from natural oils, such as palm oil, soybean oil, canola oil, and the like. Compositions containing such glyceride oligomers are also disclosed herein. Processes for making such glyceride oligomers are also disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the processes for making such compounds include reacting a plurality of unsaturated glyceride compounds in the presence of a metathesis catalyst.

SEPARATOR FOR RECHARGEABLE LITHIUM BATTERY AND RECHARGEABLE LITHIUM BATTERY INCLUDING THE SAME

Examples of the present disclosure include a separator for a rechargeable lithium battery, and a rechargeable lithium battery including the separator. The separator for a rechargeable lithium battery includes a porous substrate, and a coating layer on at least one surface of the porous substrate. The coating layer includes a cross-linked product of a binder, a cross-linking agent, and carboxyalkyl cellulose or a salt thereof, and a filler. The binder includes a (meth)acryl-based binder including a first structural unit derived from (meth)acrylamide and a second structural unit derived from (meth)acrylamido sulfonic acid or a salt thereof. The cross-linking agent includes one or more of an aziridine-based cross-linking agent and a carbodiimide-based cross-linking agent.
