A polarizing plate, an image display device comprising the same, and a photocurable composition for a polarizing plate protective layer are provided. The polarizing plate includes a polarizer; and a protective layer in contact with at least one surface of the polarizer. The protective layer is a cured material of a photocurable composition for a polarizing plate protective layer including a photopolymerizable compound, and a photocation polymerization initiator. The photopolymerizable compound includes a first epoxy-based compound, a second epoxy-based compound and an oxetane compound.

Conductive Graphene/Carbon Nanofiber Composite Scaffold, its use for neural tissue engineering and a method of preparation thereof
Porous electrically conductive graphene/carbon nanofiber bio-scaffolds can be fabricated having a Youngs modulus and electrical conductivity that both match typical values for brain tissue. Such scaffolds have been tested and found to provide proved differentiation of stem cells into functional neural cells relative to conventional scaffolds. In preferred embodiments, neural cell differentiation in conductive graphene/carbon nanofiber scaffolds is promoted by an applied electrical stimulus.

Use of a silylated aromatic polyphenol derivative for the production of a phenol-aldehyde resin for reinforcement of a rubber composition
An aromatic polyphenol derivative comprising at least one aromatic ring bearing at least two OZ groups in the meta position relative to one another, the two positions ortho to at least one of the OZ groups being unsubstituted, is used for the manufacture of a phenol-aldehyde resin for reinforcing a rubber composition. Each OZ group represents an OSi(R.sub.1R.sub.2R.sub.3) group with R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 representing, independently of one another, a hydrocarbon-based radical or a substituted hydrocarbon-based radical.
Use of a silylated aromatic polyphenol derivative for the production of a phenol-aldehyde resin for reinforcement of a rubber composition
An aromatic polyphenol derivative comprising at least one aromatic ring bearing at least two OZ groups in the meta position relative to one another, the two positions ortho to at least one of the OZ groups being unsubstituted, is used for the manufacture of a phenol-aldehyde resin for reinforcing a rubber composition. Each OZ group represents an OSi(R.sub.1R.sub.2R.sub.3) group with R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 representing, independently of one another, a hydrocarbon-based radical or a substituted hydrocarbon-based radical.
Dual curable composition
A dual curable composition is provided, comprising a compound represented by formula (I):
(acrylate).sub.a-(A)-(silane).sub.b(I)
in which a and b are identical or different and are each represented by an integer greater than or equal to 1; and wherein the dual curable composition is radiation curable and/or moisture curable. The moiety A comprises at least one of an aliphatic hydrocarbon, a cycloaliphatic hydrocarbon, an aryl moiety, an ether, an ester, an amide, a urethane, a urea, a hydroxyl group-containing organic moiety, an acrylic oligomer, an epoxy oligomer, a urethane oligomer, a polyester oligomer, or mixtures thereof, and the dual curable composition has a molecular weight greater than or equal to 300.
