S-Nitrosothiol-mediated hyperbranched polyesters
The invention generally relates to compositions comprising degradable polymers and methods of making degradable polymers. Specifically, the disclosed degradable polymers comprise a biodegradable polymer backbone, a nitric oxide linker moiety, and a nitric oxide molecule. This abstract is intended as a scanning tool for purposes of searching in the particular art and is not intended to be limiting of the present invention.
DENDRITIC TAGS
Preparing a dendritic tag includes forming a liquid composition including dendrites, separating the dendrites from the liquid composition, and disposing the dendrites on a substrate. In some cases, the composition is applied to a substrate and the liquid is evaporated to yield at least one dendrite in direct contact with the substrate. A labeled item includes an item and a dendritic tag coupled to the item, such that the item can be identified or authenticated based on a property of the dendritic tag.
Dendrimer drug conjugates for sustained intra-articular delivery
A conjugated cationic dendrimer comprising end groups conjugated to charge-shielding groups, wherein some charge-shielding groups are chemically linked to active pharmaceutical ingredients.
RESIN COMPOSITION, AND RESIN FILM, METAL FOIL WITH RESIN, METAL CLAD LAMINATE, WIRING BOARD, AND CIRCUIT MOUNT COMPONENT USING SAME
One aspect of the present invention relates to a resin composition containing a polyrotaxane (A), an epoxy resin (B), and a curing agent (C), in which the curing agent (C) contains an acid anhydride (C-1) in an amount of 0.1 parts by mass or more and less than 10 parts by mass based on a total of 100 parts by mass of the polyrotaxane (A), the epoxy resin (B), and the curing agent (C).
Compositions to stabilize asphaltenes in petroleum fluids
Compositions may include those of the formula: (I) wherein R1 is an alkyl chain having a carbon number in the range of greater than 40 to 200, R2 is a multiester, R3 is hydrogen, an ion, or an alkyl chain having a carbon number in the range of 1 to 200, m is an integer selected from 0 to 4, and n is an integer selected from the range of 0 to 4, wherein the sum of m and n is 1 or greater. Compositions may include a reaction product of a polyisobutylene-substituted succinic anhydride and a hydroxy-functional dendrimer, wherein the molar ratio of polyisobutylene-substituted succinic anhydride to hydroxy-functional dendrimer is within the range of 10:1 to 30:1. ##STR00001##
DENDRIMER-BIOADHESIVE POLYMER HYDROGEL NANOGLUE AND USE THEREOF
A nanoglue is formed with one or more bioadhesive polymers, one or more dendrimers, and optionally one or more therapeutic, prophylactic, or diagnostic agents. The bioadhesive polymers and dendrimers are modified with functional groups to permit crosslinking upon one or more stimuli, e.g., ultraviolet irradiation, and form hydrogel in situ at tissue sites. In the repair of corneal wounds, the nanoglue leads to improved rate of healing with less scarring and less inflammation, compared to non-treated cornea or ones treated with sutures. Therapeutic agents can be covalently conjugated to the precursor components and be delivered to specific eye compartments, providing a more efficacious treatment formulation of ocular disorders than delivering drugs in their free forms. Methods of making and using the hydrogel and hydrogel precursor compositions are also provided.
Polymers of polyoxometalates and hydroxy-terminated monomer units and uses in degrading noxious agents
This disclosure relates to polymers and polymer compositions having monomer units of polyoxometalates and monomer units comprising hydroxy-terminated molecules such as branched molecules or dendrimers and uses in degradation, decontamination, and deodorization. In certain embodiments, the hydroxy-terminated branched molecules or dendrimers comprise terminal 1,1-tris(hydroxymethyl)methyl or 1,1,1-tris(hydroxyalkyl)methyl groups. In certain embodiments, the hydroxy-terminated molecule is N,N′,N″-tris[tris(hydroxymethyl) methyl]-1,3,5-benzenetricarboxamide.
Golf ball
An object of the present invention is to provide a golf ball having enhanced controllability on approach shots from the rough and excellent stain resistance and shot feeling. The present invention provides a golf ball comprising a golf ball body having a cover, and a paint film covering the golf ball body, wherein a 10% elastic modulus of the paint film is 75 kgf/cm.sup.2 or less, a storage modulus (E′.sub.150) at 150° C. of the paint film obtained by measuring dynamic viscoelasticity of the paint film is 1.0×10.sup.7 Pa or more, an indentation depth of the paint film measured under a specific measuring condition in a state that the paint film is formed on the surface of the golf ball body is 1250 nm or more, and a material hardness of the cover is less than 50 in Shore D hardness.
