Disclosed are compositions comprising: a) one or more isocyanate functional components; b) one or more alkoxyalkyl benzoates; and c) one or more catalysts for the reaction of isocyanate moieties with hydroxyl groups. Disclosed is a method of bonding two or more substrates together comprising contacting two or more substrates together with a composition disclosed herein disposed along at least a portion of the area wherein the substrates are in contact. At least one of the substrates may be window glass. One of the other substrates may be a building or a vehicle.

Disclosed herein is a branched polyester formed by an acid component, a diol component and a polyol component. The acid component includes an amino dicarboxylic acid of formula (I)

where R.sup.1 is hydrogen or a hydrocarbon having 1 to 20 carbon atoms. One or more carbon atoms can be replaced by oxygen, provided that the replaced carbon is not a primary carbon atom and, if more than one oxygen replaces carbon atoms, at least two carbon atoms are between adjacent oxygen atoms. The diol component includes a diol, the polyol component includes a polyol, and the acid component forms carboxylic acid ester groups with the diol and the polyol. The molar ratio of diol and polyol is between 2:1 and 1:2. Further disclosed are a process for preparing the branched polyester, a reaction product of the branched polyester with a polyisocyanate, and a method of using the reaction product.

A resin composition contains at least (a) a polyimide resin having a specific structure and (b) a crosslinker including a fluorene group. The resin composition is capable of bonding an electronic circuit formation substrate or a semiconductor circuit formation substrate and a support substrate together. The resin composition has excellent heat resistance during bonding of an electronic circuit formation substrate or semiconductor circuit formation substrate having a thickness of 1 μm or more and 100 μm or less. The resin composition has steady adhesive force through the process of manufacturing an electronic component, a semiconductor device or the like, and can be peeled off under mild conditions at room temperature after the manufacturing process. An adhesive, a resin layer, a laminated film, and a processed wafer containing the resin composition, as well as a method for manufacturing an electronic component or a semiconductor device using these are also disclosed.

A polyfunctional organohydrogensiloxane and method for its preparation using a boron containing Lewis acid as catalyst is disclosed. A clustered functional organosiloxane may be prepared by a method comprising functionalizing the polyfunctional organohydrogensiloxane. The polyfunctional organohydrogensiloxane and the clustered functional organosiloxane are useful in curable compositions. The polyfunctional organohydrogensiloxane may be used in a release coating composition. The clustered functional organosiloxane may be used in an adhesive composition.

TWO-COMPONENT ADHESIVE

Provided by the present invention is a two-component adhesive which includes a first composition and a second composition, in which the first composition contains: a complex derived from an organoborane and a first compound having a first group capable of undergoing an addition reaction to an isocyanate group; and a second compound having a plurality of hydroxy groups, and the second composition contains: a third compound having a plurality of isocyanate groups; a fourth compound having a polymerizable group; and a dehydrating agent. Provided that a mass of the fourth compound in the second composition is X, and that a total mass of the second compound in the first composition and the third compound in the second composition is Y, a value X/(X+Y) is preferably no less than 0.4 and no greater than 0.85.
