The present invention provides a reaction mixture comprising a blend of a first isocyanate-based uretdione-containing resin and a second isocyanate-based uretdione-containing resin, a neutralized polyol and a tertiary amine catalyst, and optionally, an additive package selected from the group consisting of flow control additives, pigments (colorants), wetting agents, and solvents, wherein the first isocyanate and the second isocyanate are different. The first isocyanate-based uretdione-containing resin and the second isocyanate-based uretdione-containing resin may be cold blended or hot blended. Coatings, adhesives, castings, composites, and sealants made from hot blended formulations exhibit superior performance over those made from cold blended formulations.

The moisture-curable composition of the present invention is a moisture-curable composition prepared by adding (A) a polymer having a hydrophobic moiety and a hydrophilic moiety as a main component, (B) a diluent having a predetermined viscosity range, (C) hydrophobized inorganic particles, and (D) a thixotropic agent having a hydrophobic moiety and a hydrophilic moiety, whereby the composition exhibits performances of suppressing the viscosity at a high shear rate to a value equal to or lower than a certain value, and at the same time, increasing the viscosity at a low shear rate.

A process for preparing a crosslinkable composition comprising at least one alkoxysilane-terminated silyl polymer P, and at least one catalytic system B comprises: a. preparing an alkoxysilane-terminated silyl polymer P comprising: a-1) the polyaddition reaction between a composition of polyol(s) and a composition of polyisocyanate(s), in the presence of a catalyst A chosen from carboxylates based on bismuth and/or zinc, in order to prepare an NCO-terminated polymer; a-2) the reaction of the NCO-terminated polymer obtained in step a-1) with an organosilane compound having at least one function that is reactive with the —NCO function of the NCO-terminated polymer; and b. bringing the silyl polymer P obtained in step a) into contact with a catalytic crosslinking system B which is a mixture of zinc-based carboxylate(s) and cyclic amidine. The process is carried out in the absence of a tin-based catalyst.
