POLYURETHANE BASED GEL COMPOSITION
A polyurethane gel for comfort applications includes a reaction product of a composition that includes (1) from 5 wt % to 35 wt % of a prepolymer component, based on a total weight of the composition, the prepolymer component including a reac tion product of an isocyanate component that includes diphenylemethane diisocyanate (MDI) and a polyol component that includes a polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene polyol that has an polyoxyethylene content greater than 65 wt %, based on a total weight of the polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene polyol, and (2) a remainder of a prepolymer-reactive component that includes an amine-terminated polyol and a propylene oxide-ethylene oxide based monol or polyol. The composition excludes any plasticizers.
RADIATION CURABLE PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL SOLUTIONS AND SHAPE STABLE THERMOSET PHASE CHANGE MATERIAL GELS FORMED THEREFROM
Methods of making a thermoset thermal energy gels, such as one having a radiation cured polymeric network, are disclosed. The methods include providing a hydrophobic PCM in its liquid state, adding a polybutadiene urethane acrylate oligomer and a mono-functional or di-functional crosslinker soluble in the hydrophobic PCM to the hydrophobic PCM while maintaining the liquid state of the hydrophobic phase change material to form a liquid homogenous mixture, then adding a photoinitiator, which is soluble in the hydrophobic PCM, with mixing to form a final mixture. Next, curing the final mixture occurs by exposure to radiation to form the thermoset thermal energy gel.

SUSTAINED RELEASE COMPOSITION USING BIOBASED BIODEGRADABLE HYPERBRANCHED POLYESTERS
The present invention provides a sustained release composition having hyperbranched polymers that are polyesters that are biobased and biodegradable, and that have at least one active ingredient, which composition delivers the active ingredient over time. These active ingredients can be a wide variety of compounds so long as they can covalently bind to the polymer or be encapsulated in the polymer in a manner that is released at the point of delivery, usually by acid hydrolysis or enzymatic bond scission.
