PRESSURIZED AEROSOL ADHESIVE COMPOUND
The invention relates to an adhesive composition that is capable of being subsequently released into the environment in a controlled and measured manner and is primarily used for construction purposes. The pressurized adhesive composition in a can is such that a) when released from the aerosol can, it has the consistency of a gel or paste; b) has a shear strength, measured in accordance with the standard ASTM D905-08 (Reapproved 2021), of 80 psi or higher, when the adhesive composition is applied to wood, such as hard maple. High wood material bonding strength is provided.
Molding based on a monolithic organic aerogel
A molding based on a monolithic organic aerogel has a density in the range from 60 to 300 kg/m.sup.3 and a thermal conductivity in the range from 12 to 17.8 mW/m*K. The molding based on a monolithic organic aerogel has more than 30 vol.-% of pores with a diameter of less than 150 nm, and more than 20 vol.-% of pores with a diameter of less than 27 nm, based on the total pore volume. A process can be used to prepare the molding by compression.
CONTINUOUS OR SEMI-CONTINUOUS PROCESS FOR PRODUCING A PRE-ACTIVATED ORGANOGELATOR PASTE
The present invention pertains to a continuous or semi-continuous process for producing a pre-activated organogelator paste, wherein the process comprises: (1) mixing at least one amide compound with at least one liquid carrier so as to provide a mixture, wherein the mixing is carried out at a temperature T1 which is below the activation temperature of the amide compound, (2) continuously flowing said mixture through a heat exchanger to increase its temperature to a temperature T2 that is at least equal to the activation temperature of said amide compound, so as to obtain a paste, (3) filling said paste into containers maintained at or above said activation temperature, and (4) retrieving and cooling said containers.
