COMPLIANT SOLID-STATE IONICALLY CONDUCTIVE COMPOSITE MATERIALS AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME

Provided herein are ionically conductive solid-state compositions that include ionically conductive inorganic particles in a matrix of an organic material. The resulting composite material has high ionic conductivity and mechanical properties that facilitate processing. In particular embodiments, the ionically conductive solid-state compositions are compliant and may be cast as films. In some embodiments of the present invention, solid-state electrolytes including the ionically conductive solid-state compositions are provided. In some embodiments of the present invention, electrodes including the ionically conductive solid-state compositions are provided. The present invention further includes embodiments that are directed to methods of manufacturing the ionically conductive solid-state compositions and batteries incorporating the ionically conductive solid-state compositions.

METHODS FOR TREATING THERMOPLASTIC POLYURETHANE COVERS FOR GOLF BALLS WITH EPOXY COMPOSITIONS

Golf balls having covers made of thermoplastic polyurethane compositions are provided. Multi-piece golf balls can be made. In one embodiment, the outer cover layer is formed from a composition comprising a thermoplastic polyurethane and epoxy compound. Mixtures of multi-functional amines and imines, and multi-functional isocyanates, and epoxy curing agents; and solvent, can be applied to the outer cover. The resulting coating may contain polyurethanes, polyureas, and hybrids, copolymers, and blends thereof. The cover composition and surface coatings can further include catalysts, ultraviolet (UV)-light stabilizers, and other additives. The coating methods have many benefits and the finished balls have good physical properties.

METHODS FOR TREATING INNER LINERS, INNER LINERS RESULTING THEREFROM AND TIRES CONTAINING SUCH INNER LINERS

Methods for treating a cured inner liner as well as treated, cured inner liners resulting from such methods are disclosed. Also disclosed are tires containing the treated inner liners. The methods include treatment of the lower surface of inner liner surface with a rubber-containing liquid to produce a rubber-containing film thereupon.

In a specific embodiment, the at least one neutralizing agent comprises i) mono and/or divalent metal compounds and ii) ammonia compounds and/or amine compounds.

A resin composition for a metal-clad laminate plate includes a block copolymer comprising a butadiene block having a molar ratio of a 1,2-bonding structure to a 1,4-bonding structure of 80:20 to 100:0 and a styrene block. Further, the resin composition for the metal-clad laminate plate includes polybutadiene having a molar ratio of a 1,2-bonding structure to a 1,4-bonding structure of 80:20 to 100:0.

Elastomeric materials for components of tyres and tyres comprising modified silicate fibres

The present invention relates to new vulcanisable elastomeric compositions for components of tyres, comprising modified silicate fibres as fillers. The silicate fibres are modified according to the process with controlled pH of the invention. In addition, the invention regards components of tyres, comprising elastomeric materials obtainable by vulcanisation of said compositions, and tyres for vehicles comprising one or more of said components. The vulcanised elastomeric materials according to the invention are characterised by good static and dynamic mechanical properties, in particular by particularly low hysteresis. Advantageously the tyres of the invention comprising one or more of said components have a limited rolling resistance.

A resin composition includes: (A) a polybutadiene having a content of 1,2-vinyl group of greater than or equal to 85%; and (B) a styrene-butadiene-styrene triblock copolymer of Formula (1) comprising a butadiene block having a content of 1,2-vinyl group of greater than or equal to 80%. Moreover, an article may be made from the resin composition, which comprises a prepreg, a resin film, a laminate or a printed circuit board. The resin composition or the article made therefrom may achieve improvement in one or more properties including Z-axis ratio of thermal expansion, thermal resistance after moisture absorption, dissipation factor, and dissipation factor aging variation under moisture and heat.
