A polymer composition is disclosed which composition includes at least a first polymer and a second polymer. The first polymer is made up of at least 10 mole percent repeat units of (3-hydroxypropionate). The second polymer is made up of a poly(hydroxyalkanoate) which does not include repeat units of (3-hydroxypropionate). A method for making the first polymer is also disclosed.
DI(2-ETHYLHEXYL) TEREPHTHALATE COMPOSITION
A di(2-ethylhexyl) terephthalate composition is provided. The di(2-ethylhexyl) terephthalate composition comprises di(2-ethylhexyl)terephthalate, at least one of a first component, a second component and a third component, and a fourth component When the di(2-ethylhexyl) terephthalate composition is characterized by gas chromatography (GC), the first component is eluted at a retention time ranging from 4.8 minutes to 6.0 minutes, the second component is eluted at a retention time ranging from 9.0 minutes to 10.0 minutes, the third component is eluted at a retention time ranging from 10.1 minutes to 12.0 minutes, and the fourth component is eluted at a retention time ranging from 21.0 minutes to 22.1 minutes. The ratio of the total area of the chromatographic peaks indicating the first component, second component, and third component to the area of the chromatographic peaks indicating the fourth component is 0.135 to 1.720.

Asphalt binders and methods for making and using same. In at least one specific embodiment, the asphalt binder can include a bitumen and a glyceride and fatty acid mixture. The glyceride and fatty acid mixture can include one or more triglycerides, at least 1 wt % of one or more diglycerides, and at least 5 wt % of one or more fatty acids, based on the combined weight of the one or more triglycerides, the one or more diglycerides, and the one or more fatty acids. The asphalt binder can be made by combining a bitumen and a glyceride and fatty acid mixture. A paving composition can be made by combining a plurality of solids and the asphalt binder. A road can include a plurality of solids mixed with the asphalt binder.
Low-water-vapor-permeability polyolefin-elastomer film and method for preparing the same
The present disclosure discloses a low-water-vapor-permeability polyolefin-elastomer film and its preparation method. The film comprises: 50-100 mass parts of a matrix resin, 0-40 mass parts of a modified resin, 0.001-2 mass parts of an activator, 0.1-3 mass parts of an organic peroxide, 0.02-5 mass parts of an assistant cross-linker, 0.02-2 mass parts of a silane coupling agent, 0.005-2 mass parts of a light stabilizer, and 0-20 mass parts of a water blocking filler. In the present disclosure, by adding the modified resin and the activator that have an active group, a cross-linking degree and a cross-linking density of the film are improved, and a water-vapor permeability is reduced; by adding the water blocking filler, the water blocking property of the film is further improved, thereby ensuring reliability of the assembly, and prolonging service life of the assembly.

An actinic radiation-curable inkjet ink according to the present invention contains an actinic radiation polymerizable compound and a linear styrene (meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer dissolved therein. The styrene (meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer has a softening point of 30 to 120° C., and a content of the styrene (meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer is 1 to 50 wt % based on a total mass of the actinic radiation-curable inkjet ink.

The present invention provides an optical composition from which an optical article having reduced poor appearance such as cloudiness and optical strain during lens base material production can be obtained, and when a photochromic compound is added, a photochromic cured body having excellent photochromism and mechanical strength can also be formed, and a polyrotaxane used therefor. The polyrotaxane has a composite molecular structure formed of an axle molecule and a plurality of cyclic molecules clathrating the axle molecule, satisfying at least one of (X) and (Y). (X): A side chain having a secondary or tertiary hydroxyl group is introduced into at least part of the cyclic molecule of the polyrotaxane. (Y): A side chain having a group represented by -A (A is an organic group, and contains at least one hydroxyl group) is introduced into at least part of the cyclic molecule of the polyrotaxane, and a pKa of the hydroxyl group of the compound represented by H-A is 6 or more and less than 14.
