The present invention provides a flame retardant composition and a thermoplastic polyurethane composition both of which has excellent flame retardance. A phosphoramidate compound having a specific structure (component (B)) and a triazine-based compound (component (C)) are used as a flame retardant for a flame retardant composition and a flame retardant thermoplastic polyurethane composition. In one embodiment, the flame retardant thermoplastic polyurethane composition of the present invention includes a thermoplastic polyurethane resin (component (A)), a phosphoramidate compound (component (B)) and a triazine-based compound (component (C)).

The inventive, transparent films provide discoloration compensation that alleviates yellowing caused by UV light.

A thermoplastic resin composition includes a first copolymer including a conjugated diene-based polymer, a unit derived from an aromatic vinyl-based monomer, and a unit derived from a vinyl cyan-based monomer; a second copolymer including a unit derived from an aromatic vinyl-based monomer and a unit derived from a vinyl cyan-based monomer; and, with respect to 100 parts by weight of the sum of the first copolymer and the second copolymer, 2.0 to 10 parts by weight of a third copolymer having a soft segment including a unit derived from a polyalkylene glycol and a hard segment including unit derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid or aromatic dicarboxylate and a unit derived from a linear aliphatic diol; and 2.5 to 10 parts by weight of a fourth copolymer including an aromatic dicarboxylic acid-derived unit, a unit derived from a linear aliphatic diol, and a unit derived from a cyclic aliphatic diol.

Light-activated coating and materials

A polymer having a first monomer operatively connected to Rose Bengal, a second monomer, and a surfactant, wherein the surfactant is selected from the group consisting of ionic surfactants, anionic surfactants, cationic surfactants, nonionic surfactants, zwitterionic surfactants, and mixtures thereof. The Rose Bengal in polymer in an amount effective for rendering the polymer antimicrobial or antiviral upon exposure of said polymer to light; and the polymer produces singlet oxygen from air in the presence of light.
