Sprayable water-based adhesive
Water-based adhesive compositions are improved by the incorporation of hollow polymeric microspheres having outer surfaces coated with one or more barrier materials such as calcium carbonate particles. The adhesive compositions exhibit enhanced rheology, sprayability, drying time, tack and storage stability as compared to analogous adhesives that are not modified with coated hollow polymeric microspheres. Such compositions are useful as both contact adhesives as well as wet bonding one-way adhesives.
Polymer manufacturing method
Disclosed are a polymer having a narrow molecular weight distribution prepared by living radical and a polymer manufacturing method comprising a step of performing living radical polymerization using 0.005 to 0.5 parts by mass of an oxygen radical scavenger per 100 parts by mass of a radical polymerizable monomer.
Chloroprene rubber latex adhesive composition
Provided is a chloroprene rubber latex adhesive composition superior in initial adhesive strength and normal adhesive strength and also in thermal creep resistance with adherend. A chloroprene rubber latex adhesive composition includes a carboxy-modified chloroprene-based copolymer latex (A) containing a copolymer of chloroprene monomer and an ethylenic unsaturated carboxylic acid and a polyvinylalcohol, a chloroprene-based polymer latex (B) containing a chloroprene homopolymer or a copolymer of chloroprene monomer and other monomer and a rosin acid metal salt and a chlorinated polyolefin resin emulsion (C), wherein the content ratio of the carboxy-modified chloroprene-based copolymer latex (A) to the chloroprene-based polymer latex (B) is 80:20 to 20:80 as solid matter.
CHLOROPRENE RUBBER COMPOSITION
A chloroprene rubber composition comprising 0.8 to 4 parts by weight of 2,4,6-trimercapto-s-triazine and 0.5 to 4.5 parts by weight of tetrabenzylthiuram disulfide based on 100 parts by weight of chloroprene rubber. The chloroprene rubber composition maintains processability (scorch time) and productivity (crosslinking rate) equivalent to those of conventionally used crosslinking systems, without using substances subject to environmental regulations in crosslinking systems, and at the same time, improves physical properties, such as strength, elongation, and compression set characteristics.

METHOD FOR PREPARING BUTYRONITRILE RUBBER POWDER-BASED PVC THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER AND USE OF BUTYRONITRILE RUBBER POWDER-BASED PVC THERMOPLASTIC ELASTOMER IN PREPARING AUTOMOTIVE PARTS
A method for preparing a butyronitrile rubber powder-based polyvinyl chloride (PVC) thermoplastic elastomer and a use of the butyronitrile rubber powder-based PVC thermoplastic elastomer in preparing automotive parts are provided. The method includes: activating a wasted nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR) powder; plasticizing one of NBR and chloroprene rubber (CR) to obtain a plasticized rubber; dispersing the activated NBR fine rubber powder with one of PVC and chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) in a kneader evenly to obtain a mixture; adding the mixture and pine tar into the plasticized rubber, then mixing evenly to obtain a mixed plastic; adding various compounding agents into the mixed plastic and dispersing evenly to perform cross-linking reaction, thereby obtaining the butyronitrile rubber powder-based PVC thermoplastic elastomer. By using the wasted NBR powder as a main material, which turns waste into treasure and has low cost, and the butyronitrile rubber powder-based PVC thermoplastic elastomer has excellent comprehensive performance.
