Water soluble fluorescent or colored dyes and methods for their use
Compounds useful as fluorescent or colored dyes are disclosed. The compounds have the following structure (I): ##STR00001##
including stereoisomers, salts and tautomers thereof, wherein R.sup.1a, R.sup.1b, R.sup.2a, R.sup.2b, R.sup.2c, R.sup.2d, R.sup.2e, R.sup.2f, R.sup.2g, R.sup.2h, R.sup.2i, R.sup.2j, R.sup.2k, R.sup.2l, R.sup.2m, R.sup.2n, R.sup.2o, R.sup.2p, R.sup.2q, R.sup.2r and R.sup.2s are as defined herein. Methods associated with preparation and use of such compounds are also provided.
NUCLEOTIDE ANALOGUES
The present invention provides methods, compositions, mixtures and kits utilizing deoxynucleoside triphosphates comprising a 3-O position capped by a group comprising methylenedisulfide as a cleavable protecting group and a detectable label reversibly connected to the nucleobase of said deoxynucleoside. Such compounds provide new possibilities for future sequencing technologies, including but not limited to Sequencing by Synthesis.
NUCLEOTIDE ANALOGUES
The present invention provides methods, compositions, mixtures and kits utilizing deoxynucleoside triphosphates comprising a 3-O position capped by a group comprising methylenedisulfide as a cleavable protecting group and a detectable label reversibly connected to the nucleobase of said deoxynucleoside. An organic EL device includes a pair of electrodes and an organic compound layer between pair of electrodes. The organic compound layer includes an emitting layer including a first material, a second material and a third material, in which singlet energy EgS(H) of the first material, singlet energy EgS(H2) of the second material, and singlet energy EgS(D) of the third material satisfy a specific relationship.

where, Aryl.sub.1 represents substituted or unsubstituted aryl with one or more aromatic rings, NR.sub.2R.sub.3 represents a substituted electron-donating group, wherein N represents a nitrogen atom, and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently represent identical or different substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon groups, L represents an optional linker unit, and A represents an electron-withdrawing group.
Photosensitive organic dyes for dye-sensitized solar cells
A photosensitive organic dye is adapted to be used in a photoelectric converting device such as a dye-sensitized solar cell. The photosensitive organic dye having a structural formula (I): ##STR00001##
where, Aryl.sub.1 represents substituted or unsubstituted aryl with one or more aromatic rings, NR.sub.2R.sub.3 represents a substituted electron-donating group, wherein N represents a nitrogen atom, and R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently represent identical or different substituted or unsubstituted hydrocarbon groups, L represents an optional linker unit, and A represents an electron-withdrawing group.
