20220192946 · 2022-06-23 · ·

The present invention provides compositions with increased color shade stability comprising organic pigments and TiO.sub.2. The combination of specific ingredients disclosed herein prevents the color migration often associated with organic pigments including azo based dyes and lakes.

Glitter pigment, pigment-containing composition, and pigment-containing painted product

The present invention provides a glitter pigment, including: a glass flake; a titanium oxide layer formed over the glass flake; and fine gold particles deposited on the titanium oxide layer, wherein the fine gold particles include fine gold particles P2 having a particle diameter of 20 nm or more and less than 50 nm, and in a square region 2 μm on a side on a surface of the titanium oxide layer on which the fine gold particles are deposited, the number of the fine gold particles P2 is 9 or more and less than 100 and an average of distances between the fine gold particles P2 is 130 nm or more and less than 500 nm, each of the distances being a distance from one of the fine gold particles P2 to another fine gold particle P2 nearest to the one.

REFLECTIVE PARTICULATE COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING A PARTICULATE MIXTURE HAVING IMPROVED HARDNESS, METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME, AND METHODS FOR ANALYZING PARTICULATE MIXTURE STRENGTH

A reflective granular composition including a reflective pigment material including a majority of kaolin clay and a hardening additive including a sodium salt or another salt. A method for making a reflective granular composition includes the steps of mixing together a reflective pigment material including a majority of kaolin clay and a hardening additive including a sodium salt or another salt to form a particulate mixture, forming a slurry from the particulate mixture by adding to the particulate mixture water and a binder material, granulating the slurry, drying the granulated slurry, and kilning the dried, granulated slurry to form the reflective granular composition. Methods of analyzing the strength of a reflective granular composition are also disclosed.

Powder mixture

A powder mixture including spherical barium titanate particles and spherical oxide particles and having an average particle diameter of 2 μm or more and 30 μm or less, wherein the spherical oxide particles have an average particle diameter of 0.05 μm or more and 1.5 μm or less, and the spherical oxide particles are contained in an amount of 0.02% by mass or more and 15% by mass or less based on the powder mixture. The spherical oxide particles are preferably amorphous silicon dioxide particles and/or aluminum oxide particles. According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a spherical barium titanate-based powder which enables to prepare a high dielectric resin composition with which reduced wire sweep amount and burr are achieved.

PARTICLES WITH COLOR EFFECT AND COMPOSITIONS INCLUDING THE SAME

A particle is provided that includes a first material and a second material, arranged to provide a Fano resonance effect, for example in the visible portion of electromagnetic spectrum. The first and second materials may be substantially clear in the visible portion of the electromagnetic spectrum. The first material may include an inorganic material, such as SiO.sub.2, TiO.sub.2, HfO.sub.2, ZrO.sub.2, diamond, or a combination thereof. The second material may include a polymer. The first material has a first refractive index and the second material has a second refractive index, where the first refractive index and second refractive index have a difference of 0.5 or greater, and 1.0 or less. The first material may form a core and the second material may form a shell surrounding the core. Alternatively, the first and second materials may form a Janus particle, an asymmetric dimer, or an aggregate.
