20220217900 · 2022-07-14 ·

A spreader with a material divider that is adjustable to change a stream of material which flows in an arbitrary manner to the centrifugal disk(s) described to achieve a desired symmetrical or asymmetrical spread pattern.

HIGH OUTPUT PRECISION SPINNER

Method for a centrifugal spreader to precisely spread particulate material across an entire field with increased application rate, swath width and driving speed by utilizing a tiered disk spinner arrangement fed by a conveyor and guided by a material divider and an adjustable chute moveable in rotation around the spinner disk to achieve a desired symmetrical or asymmetrical spread pattern.

CHEST-MOUNTED SPREADER
20220279708 · 2022-09-08 · ·

A chest-mounted spreader system includes a hopper for receiving particulate material and a base assembly mounted to the hopper. The base assembly has a base unit having a base plate and rotatable shaft. An electric motor is coupled to the shaft to drive rotation of the shaft. An impeller is mounted on the shaft proximate the base plate. A shroud has a partial sidewall affixed to the base plate thereby defining an impeller cavity. The impeller cavity includes a discharge opening opposite the partial sidewall and the impeller is received within the impeller cavity. A shroud opening is in fluid communication with the hopper so that particulate matter passes from the hopper to the impeller. The electric motor is powered to rotate the shaft and the impeller to disperse the particulate matter through the discharge opening.

Method for regulating the throwing behavior of a centrifugal spreader for fertilizer

The invention relates to a method for regulating the throwing behavior of a centrifugal spreader for fertilizer and to a centrifugal spreader configured therefor. According thereto, a target throwing distance is determined for a target working width. Furthermore, one of several rotational speed levels is selected for at least one spreading disc to approximate the actual throwing distance to the target throwing distance. Finally, an adapted target throwing angle for regulating an actual throwing angle is determined from the actual throwing distance (WW1) and counteracts in a compensatory manner a deviation from the target working width caused be the difference between the actual throwing distance and the target throwing distance. Continuous regulation of the throwing distance then becomes unnecessary, resulting in more stable regulation of the overall throwing behavior.

A distribution machine, in the form of a spreader or a seed drill, includes a container carried by a support frame for receiving pulverent or particulate material to be distributed. An outlet opening is arranged on a floor of the container. A metering member is arranged downstream of the outlet opening. A ground distribution member is arranged downstream of the metering member. A displaceable part, such as a metering slide of the metering member or a device, adjusts the delivery point of the material to be distributed onto the distribution member. The displaceable part is operatively connected to, and actuated by, an output shaft of an electromotive rotary drive, a servomotor or a transmission output shaft of a transmission, arranged downstream of the electromotive rotary drive such that the exclusively rotational movement of the output shaft or of the transmission output shaft is transmissible to the displaceable part.

SPREAD CONTROL MECHANISM

A broadcast spreader and methods of using the same. One method includes dispersing particulate material using a broadcast spreader having a hopper and an impeller by placing the spreader in a first configuration where a first set of through openings proximate a bottom portion of the hopper permit the particulate material to pass therethrough and fall onto the impeller to thereby be distributed in a first spread pattern, and shifting the spreader into a second configuration where a second set of through openings proximate the bottom portion of the hopper permit the particulate material to pass therethrough and fall onto the impeller to thereby be distributed in a second spread pattern. The first set of through openings includes a different number of through openings than the second set of through openings, and the first spread pattern is different than the second spread pattern.
