Computer-implemented method for defining seams of a virtual garment or furniture upholstery
A computer-implemented method defines seams of a virtual garment or upholstery having a plurality of two-dimensional patterns (P) assembled by their edges (E0-E7). The method arranges said patterns around a three-dimensional avatar (AV). The position of each pattern depends on its situation within the assembled garment or upholstery. Next the method for each edge (E0) of each pattern, except edges previously identified as seamless or for which a seam has already been defined: b1) automatically identifies at least one edge (E1 -E7), called candidate edge, which is suitable to be seamed to it; b2) if a plurality of candidate edges have been identified, selects one of them (E1) based on at least one geometric criterion; and b3) defines a seam between the edge and the selected, or the only, candidate edge.
A computer program product, a non-volatile computer-readable data-storage medium and a Computer Aided Design system for carrying out such a method. Application of such a method to the manufacturing of a real garment or upholstery.
Tailor cutting assembly with anti-slip function and tailor ruler therof
A tailor ruler includes a transparent substrate includes a series of scales, a series of parallel lines and a series of longitudinal lines respectively formed thereon, wherein the series of parallel lines and the series of longitudinal lines respectively perpendicularly correspond to one another. Each of the parallel lines and the longitudinal lines respectively has a series of reference lines formed thereof. Each intersection of the parallel lines and the longitudinal lines is formed with an identifying point. An anti-slip layer is disposed on the back surface of the transparent substrate, wherein the anti-slip layer is disposed along an edge of the transparent substrate. The anti-slip layer contains countless sharp particles, wherein the sharp particles are partially exposed relative to a surface of the anti-slip layer for promoting a fraction force of the anti-slip layer and enhancing an anti-slip effect of the tailor ruler.
Using Laser to Create Finishing Pattern on Apparel
Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. A technique includes determining a fabric's response to a laser, capturing an initial image of a wear pattern on a garment, and processing the initial image to obtain a working image in grayscale. The working image is further processed to obtain a difference image by comparing each pixel relative to a dark reference. The difference image is converted to a laser values image by using the previously determined fabric response to the laser.
KNITTED TEXTILE METHODS AND SYSTEMS
Custom-fit versions of knitted articles are produced according to digital representations of objects for which the articles are to be manufactured. The digital representations, optionally augmented by surface fitting algorithms, allow for accurate scaling of pattern-specified stitch counts for pattern elements representing the article taking into account wales and courses densities for the material(s) from which the article is to be made. Displayed dimensionally-accurate representations of the custom-fit articles allow for user-specified style and fit preferences to be made and a final digital pattern of the article to be produced. Machine instructions representing pattern pieces to be knitted are automatically produced from the final digital pattern of the article for a target computerized knitting machine and the custom-fit article then manufactured according to the machine instructions.
Methods for producing garments and garment designs
The present disclosure is generally directed to methods for producing garments and garment designs. More particularly, disclosed are methods for producing figure-flattering garments and garment designs that create an optical illusion of an anatomical feature. The garment designs are created by manipulating a macro scale pattern from nature.
System and method for digital markups of custom products
Techniques for generating and using digital markups on digital images are presented. In an embodiment, a method comprises receiving, at an electronic device, a digital layout image that represents a form of a product for manufacturing a reference product; generating a digital markup layout by overlaying the digital markup image over the digital layout image; based on the digital markup layout, generating one or more manufacturing files comprising digital data for manufacturing the reference product; receiving a digital reference image of the reference product manufactured based on the one or more manufacturing files; identifying one or more found markup regions in the digital reference image; based on the found markup regions, generating a geometry map and an interactive asset image; based on, at least in part, the geometry map, generating a customized product image by applying a user pattern to the interactive asset image.
SIZE MEASUREMENT DEVICE AND SIZE MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
[Problem] There are provided a size measurement apparatus and a size measurement system that even a user who has no specialized measurement technique can easily handle.
[Solution Means] A size measurement system includes a size measurement apparatus (10) configured to be attached to a body of a user to measure a size and the like of the body of the user and output sensor measurement information representing the measured size and the like, a user terminal (20) configured to be operated by the user who measures the body, and a management server (30) configured to manage size information, shape information, and the like of apparel merchandise and provide merchandise search result information that is user size information as body size information of the user based on the sensor measurement information and information concerning merchandise matching the size.
Apparel Design System Including Garment Features with Allocation Insights
A system allows a user to create new designs for apparel and preview these designs before manufacture. Software and lasers are used in finishing apparel to produce a desired wear pattern or other design. As the user designs the garment, the system provides the user insight in their design process.
