STRIP FOR REINFORCEMENT OF A HOSE AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURE THEREOF

A strip (100) intended for the reinforcement of the wall of high pressure hoses or flexible pipes is presented. The strip (100) comprises multiple wires (102) arranged side-by-side and held together by means of a hardened adhesive (104) originating from a waterborne dispersion. Different embodiments are presented wherein the wires (102) are embedded in the hardened adhesive (104), or wherein only one side of the strip (100) is covered with hardened adhesive (104) or wherein the hardened adhesive (104) is present only between the wires (102) and not on the surfaces (S1, S2) delineating the strip (100). In one preferred embodiment the wires (102) are flattened with the flats being parallel to the surfaces (S1, S2) of the strips (100).

Rubber Composition, Rubber Composition Metal Laminate, and Vulcanized Rubber Product

A rubber composition of the present technology contains, per 100 parts by mass of a diene polymer that can be vulcanized by sulfur, from 0.5 parts by mass to 4 parts by mass of sulfur, and from 0.004 mol to 0.17 mol of a polyhydric alcohol compound having a molecular weight of 300 or less.

Farnesene-Based Tackifying Resins and Adhesive Compositions Containing the Same
20180340103 · 2018-11-29 ·

A tackifying resin includes a farnesene-based polymer having monomeric units derived from a farnesene monomer and one or more optional comonomers selected from the group consisting of dienes, branched mono-olefins, and vinyl aromatics and has a softening point greater than or equal to 80 degrees Celsius. A method of making the farnesene-based polymer includes combining a farnesene monomer and a solvent and optionally adding one or more comonomers selected from the group consisting of dienes, branched mono-olefins, and vinyl aromatics, to provide a monomer feed, and polymerizing the monomer feed by combining the monomer feed with a Friedel-Crafts catalyst in a vessel. The tackifying resin may be combined with an elastomer to form a hot melt adhesive composition.

ADHESIVE TAPES

Adhesive tapes include a plasticized polyvinyl chloride backing, a primer including an ethylene/carbon monoxide-containing terpolymer, and an adhesive.

MOISTURE CURABLE SILICONE COMPOSITION
20180273688 · 2018-09-27 ·

Disclosed is a moisture curable composition comprising a reactive or curable silicone; a crosslinker; an unreactive silicone; and at least of an initial strength-imparting agent and a plasticizer. The composition can have superior waterproofing property and weatherproofing property and allows easy installation on a substrate and easy peeling from the substrate.

METHOD OF MAKING ADHESIVE WRAPPING TAPE FOR BUNDLING CABLES IN CARS
20180265745 · 2018-09-20 ·

An adhesive tape is made by hot calendering a substrate between two generally identical rolls one of which is heated to a different temperature than the other roll while rotating the rolls at the same peripheral speed to flatten one face of the substrate and reduce air permeability of the substrate by at least 15%. Then an adhesive coating is applied to at least one of the faces of the substrate.
