ASSEMBLY AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an assembly method for manufacturing with which deformation caused by heating during joining is inhibited, peeling apart of the assembly is facilitated, protein adsorption is suppressed, and low haze is achieved. An assembly [3] includes one or more types of shaped products [1] that are joined via a joining layer [2] having a material constitution different from the shaped products; and a method for manufacturing the same. The joining layer [2] contains: 100 parts by weight of a cycloolefin resin [4]; and a softening agent [5]. The content of the softening agent [5] in the joining layer [2] is 6 parts by weight to 99 parts by weight of the softening agent [5] relative to 100 parts by weight of the cycloolefin resin [4]. The joining layer [2] has a haze of 1.0 or less.
PHOTOCURABLE COMPOSITION AND ANTHRACENE DERIVATIVE USED WITH THE SAME
The invention provides a material having a structure including three or more anthracene structures per molecule as a photosensitive unit. That structure allows the material to remain in a liquid state at room temperature due to its reduced crystallinity. After coated on an application member in a liquid state, it is irradiated with light from outside so that it can be cured by way of photocrosslinking, and when heated, it returns back to the original state as the linkage is cleaved. By use of this material it is possible to form a reversibly detachable layer that serves as an adhesive layer at an interface to an application member and a coating layer at the surface of the application member.

Metathesis-active adhesion agents and methods for enhancing polymer adhesion to surfaces
The invention discloses an adhesion agent composition comprising at least one C.sub.3-C.sub.200 olefin compound having at least one metathesis active double bond, wherein the olefin is substituted or unsubstituted; and at least one compatibilizing functionality for interacting with a substrate surface. The substrate surface can be any surface, for example, silicate glasses, silicate minerals, metals, metal alloys, ceramics, natural stones, plastics, carbon, silicon, and semiconductors. The invention also discloses articles of manufacture utilizing these adhesion agents as well as methods for adhering a polyolefin to a substrate surface.
METHODS OF FORMING STRUCTURES FOR DOWNHOLE APPLICATIONS
A method of forming a structure for a downhole application comprises forming an interfacial material comprising at least one of self-reinforced polyphenylene, polyphenylene sulfide, polysulfone, and polyphenylsulfone between opposing surfaces of a first substrate and a second substrate. A downhole structure and a downhole assembly are also described.
