Well Service Fluid Composition and Method of Using Microemulsions as Flowback Aids
The present invention relates to a new Winsor type IV microemulsion system for faster return of well service fluid and enhanced production of hydrocarbon-containing fluids in fractured tight subterranean formations, where the microemulsion system includes a surfactant subsystem including at least one glucamide sugar surfactant, a solvent subsystem and a co-solvent subsystem and to methods for making and using same.
PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF EUGENOL POLYETHERS THAT CAN BE HYDROSILYLATED AND EUGENOL POLYETHERSILOXANES AND USE THEREOF
The present invention relates to a process for producing hydrosilylatable, eugenol-based polyethers, to the conversion thereof into polyether siloxanes and also to the products that may be produced by this process and to the use of said products as surfactants.
Method for Preparing Dispersant using Lignin Degradation Products
A method for preparing dispersant using lignin degradation products includes preparation of lignin degradation products: degrading lignin which are used as raw materials using alkali through microwave-assisted activation at the presence of a metal oxide catalyst to obtain the lignin degradation products; and preparation of dispersant: preparing dispersant by molecularly reforming and chemically modifying the lignin degradation products obtained in the step of preparation of lignin degradation products.
Process for preparing a dispersion, dispersion, use and method
A process for preparing a dispersion comprising the stages: i) providing a dispersion comprising a particulate solid, a liquid medium and a dispersant having cross-linkable groups and a weight averaged molecular weight of from 1,000 to 70,000; and ii) cross-linking the dispersant in the presence of the particulate solid and the liquid medium thereby preparing a dispersion of an encapsulated particulate solid, wherein the cross-linking is performed such that 0.01 to 0.5 mmoles of cross-linkable groups in the dispersant are cross-linked per g of dispersant; said process also comprising at any stage: iii) adding a metal chelating agent to the dispersion; and after stage iii) the stage of: iv) removing at least some of the metal chelating agent from the dispersion.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING MICROSPHERES AND EMULSIONS
Various examples of systems and methods for making microspheres, microparticles, and emulsions are provided. In one example, a system and method for forming microspheres comprises: pumping a dispersed phase liquid and a continuous phase liquid into a levitating magnetic impeller pump to subject the dispersed phase liquid and continuous phase liquid to a high shear environment within the impeller pump's pump chamber. In another example, a system and method for forming an emulsion comprises: pumping a dispersed phase liquid and an inner aqueous phase liquid into a levitating magnetic impeller pump to subject the dispersed phase and the inner aqueous phase to a high shear environment within the impeller pump's pump chamber.
Polyglycerol esters with a particular oligomer distribution of the polyglycerol
The invention relates to novel polyglycerol esters with a particular oligomer distribution of the polyglycerol present, and to their use in particular in cosmetic formulations as, for example, emulsifier.
Dispersant for calcium carbonate, calcium carbonate composition, thermoplastic resin composition and molded body
Provided are: a dispersant for calcium carbonate that is capable of dispersing calcium carbonate well in a thermoplastic resin; a calcium carbonate composition and a thermoplastic resin composition that each contain the dispersant for calcium carbonate; and a molded body produced by using the thermoplastic resin composition. Specifically, provided are a dispersant for calcium carbonate, including a polyester resin containing an aromatic dicarboxylic acid residue, an aliphatic diol residue, and a monoalcohol residue or a monocarboxylic acid residue and having a melting point of 100 to 250° C.; a calcium carbonate composition that contains the dispersant and calcium carbonate; a thermoplastic resin composition that contains the dispersant, calcium carbonate, and a thermoplastic resin; and a molded body that contains the thermoplastic resin composition.
Waste vegetable oil-based emulsifier for invert emulsion drilling fluid
A waste vegetable-oil based emulsifier for use as drilling mud primary emulsifier is described. A first emulsifier is prepared from an alkyl ester of waste vegetable oil. The waste vegetable oil is vegetable oil which has been used for a process prior to preparing the first emulsifier. A quantity of the first emulsifier is added to an oil-based drilling fluid. A quantity of an activating agent is added to the oil-based drilling fluid. The activating agent is configured to activate the emulsifier to stabilize an emulsion. A quantity of viscosifier is added to the oil-based drilling fluid. A quantity of a second emulsifier is added to the oil-based drilling fluid. A quantity of weigh-up material is added to the oil-based drilling fluid. The resulting oil-based drilling fluid is used in a wellbore drilling operation to drill a wellbore in a subterranean zone.
