Sporting goods including microlattice structures
A sporting good implement, such as a hockey stick or ball bat, includes a main body. The main body may be formed from multiple layers of a structural material, such as a fiber-reinforced composite material. One or more microlattice structures may be positioned between layers of the structural material. One or more microlattice structures may additionally or alternatively be used to form the core of a sporting good implement, such as a hockey-stick blade. The microlattice structures improve the performance, strength, or feel of the sporting good implement.

Deployable safety device apparatus
A shared ride system comprising a SIPV further comprising at least an integrated safety device wherein the safety device is a coupled safety helmet.
Removeable helmet cover and methods of manufacture
The present invention is directed to injection molded articles as well as methods of manufacture of the same. The injection molded article is a helmet cover for a protective helmet, and more particularly a replaceable helmet cover for enhancing the aesthetic outer appearance of a helmet used in military, construction, manufacturing, and/or contact sports such as American football, baseball, lacrosse, hockey, equestrian, skiing, snowboarding, and the like.
INFLATABLE DEVICE FOR THE PROTECTION OF OBJECTS OR PERSONS
The invention relates to a device (1) for protecting an object or a person, comprising a sealed elastic membrane (2) intended for receiving a gas and a fibrous envelope (3) containing said membrane (2): in the rest state, the membrane (2) has a size different to that of the envelope (3) and the envelope (3) containing the membrane (2) can be folded; in the active state, the membrane (2) has a size that corresponds in shape to that of the envelope (3), the membrane (2) then occupying a first volume corresponding to the maximum volume of the envelope (3), the envelope (3) being intended to restrain an expansion of the volume of the membrane (2) beyond the maximum volume of the envelope (3), referred to as a second volume, said envelope (3) being designed to take a shape that fits the object or person to be protected, in the unstressed state, the membrane (2) can occupy a third volume greater than the maximum volume of the envelope (3).
Donnable barrier devices, systems, and methods with touchless control
A barrier system, device, and method protects medical professionals and patients from exposure to contaminants and bodily fluids is provided. The system includes a head unit shaped to be worn over the head of the wearer; a hood positioned over the head unit; one or more sensors configured to produce one or more sensor-output signals; and a controller connected to the one or more sensors and configured to produce one or more controller-output signals based on the one or more sensor-output signals. Further, a device inside a barrier system is controlled by (a) sensing one or more characteristics; (b) producing one or more sensor signals based on the sensed one or more characteristics; (c) converting and/or processing the one or more sensor signals to produce one or more controller-output signals; and (d) controlling the device based on the one or more controller-output signals.
Garment with selective hood retention and method of selectively retaining a hood
A hood (16) of an upper body garment (10) is selectively retained and deployed. A first retention element (18) is provided on a main garment portion (14), a second retention element (20) is provided on the hood (16) and optionally, a third retention element (28) is provided on a helmet (16). The garment (10) can be worn like a conventional garment, with the hood (16) up or down, but when the hood (16) is down, it is retained place behind the wearer's back, by magnetic attachment of the first and second retention elements (18,20). The hood (16) can also be worn over the helmet (26) and can be held in place by magnetic attachment of the third retention element (28) on the helmet (26), to the second retention element (20) on the hood (16).
HEAD IMPACT RECOGNITION DEVICE
The present disclosure provides sports apparatus including sports headwear and an impact detection arrangement for coupling to the sports headwear, e.g. a rugby scrum cap, to be worn by a user. The arrangement has a sensor for detecting an indication of an acceleration change experienced by the user's head when the sports headwear is being worn. The arrangement also has a visual indicator, e.g. an arrangement of LEDs, to provide a visual indication when the detected acceleration change exceeds a threshold. Advantageously, the present disclosure allows for immediate attention to be drawn to a player who has experienced a high g-force to their head, and therefore immediately alerts anyone in the vicinity that a medical check is needed to assess symptoms caused by the impact.
PROTECTIVE HELMET
A protective helmet including a visor attached to the external sides of the helmet shell. The shell includes substantially flat mount surfaces on each side which correspond with substantially flat portions on the respective ends of the visor. A fastener hole on the shell aligns with an access hole on the visor so that the two elements can be releasably fastened. The access hole provides space for a fastener to protrude out from the surface of the shell, allowing the visor to sit flush against the shell when fastened together. The helmet may include chin straps which are attached to the inner surface of the shell. The helmet may also include a catch strip on the front of the visor which protrudes from the visor such that it can prevent a cloth helmet cover (sometimes used in games such as Roller Derby) from easily sliding off the helmet.
Apparatus for safe eating and drinking in public during airborne contamination
The invention provides an equipment and a system that addresses the key concerns of eating/drinking in public while minimizing the chance of contamination of the eater and the public in general. The equipment can be a face mask, a face shield or a helmet that completely encloses at least the mouth and the nose of a person while providing intermittent access to the mouth without removal of the equipment. A mouth opening is provided on the equipment which is selectively blocked or unblocked by a covering element moved by a moving mechanism that moves the cover element to block or unblock the mouth opening. The mouth opening is selectively blocked or unblocked based on the distance between an activating element provided on a utensil or a wearable device and a receiving element provided on the equipment.
