Emulsifier compositions for invert emulsion fluids and methods of using the same
Drilling fluid compositions include invert emulsion fluids having an oleaginous phase, an aqueous phase, and an emulsifier composition that includes an ethoxylated alcohol compound and a polyaminated fatty acid compound. The ethoxylated alcohol compound has the formula R.sup.1—(OCH.sub.2CH.sub.2).sub.n—OH, where R.sup.1 is a hydrocarbyl group having from 8 to 22 carbon atoms and n is from 1 to 8. The ethoxylated alcohol compound has a Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance (HLB) of less than or equal to 6. The polyaminated fatty acid compound has the formula R.sup.2—CO—NH—CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—N(COR.sup.2)—CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—NH—CO—R.sup.3, where R.sup.2 is a hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms and R.sup.3 is a hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms or an alkylene carboxylate group having formula —R.sup.4—COOH, where R.sup.4 is a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbylene having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms. Methods of drilling wells include operating a drill in a wellbore in the presence of drilling fluid compositions.

Drilling fluid compositions include invert emulsion fluids having an oleaginous phase, an aqueous phase, and an emulsifier composition that includes an ethoxylated alcohol compound and a polyaminated fatty acid compound. The ethoxylated alcohol compound has the formula R.sup.1—(OCH.sub.2CH.sub.2).sub.n—OH, where R.sup.1 is a hydrocarbyl group having from 8 to 22 carbon atoms and n is from 1 to 8. The ethoxylated alcohol compound has a Hydrophilic-Lipophilic Balance (HLB) of less than or equal to 6. The polyaminated fatty acid compound has the formula R.sup.2—CO—NH—CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—N(COR.sup.2)—CH.sub.2—CH.sub.2—NH—CO—R.sup.3, where R.sup.2 is a hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 20 carbon atoms and R.sup.3 is a hydrocarbyl group having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms or an alkylene carboxylate group having formula —R.sup.4—COOH, where R.sup.4 is a saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbylene having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms. Methods of drilling wells include operating a drill in a wellbore in the presence of drilling fluid compositions.
Friction-Reducing Compound, Method of Producing Same, and Lubricant Composition
A lubricant composition for improving fuel economy of a vehicle having an internal combustion engine includes a base oil and a friction-reducing compound. The friction reducing compound has the following general formula:

Rolling bearing
A rolling bearing that can prevent peeling on a surface of an iron-based metal member by hydrogen brittleness even under a severe environment is provided. The rolling bearing 1 has plural bearing elements formed of an iron-based metal, and a lubricant composition 7 that lubricates metal contact surfaces of the respective bearing elements, the lubricant composition 7 is a grease containing a base oil and alkanolamine and being free of alkali metal salts and alkaline earth metal salts of inorganic acids, the base oil is at least one oil selected from alkyl diphenyl ether oils, poly-α-olefin oils and ester oils, and the alkanolamine is contained by 0.1 to 10 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of the total amount of the base oil and a thickener.

Epoxidized alpha olefin based anti-bit balling additive for water-based drilling fluids
Drilling fluid compositions and methods for using drilling fluid compositions are provided with enhanced anti-bit balling properties that include an aqueous-based fluid, one or more drilling fluid additives, and an anti-bit balling additive. The anti-bit balling additive may be an epoxidized α-olefin and the drilling fluid may include the anti-bit balling additive in an amount ranging from about 0.5 ppb to about 20 ppb. Methods for using the drilling fluid compositions may further include mixing an aqueous base fluid with one or more drilling fluid additives and an anti-bit balling additive, wherein the anti-bit balling additive includes epoxidized α-olefin and the drilling fluid may include the anti-bit balling additive in an amount ranging from about 0.5 ppb to about 20 ppb, and introducing the drilling fluid to a subterranean formation.

Metalworking fluids comprising less than 3 wt % of a composition that is an adduct of mono-maleated polyunsaturated vegetable oil and an alcohol mixture comprising an alcohol having at least 2 carbon atoms and methoxypolyethylene glycol having a number average molecular weight (M.sub.n) of at least 350. Methods of improving the stability and/or lubricity of a metalworking fluid using a composition that is adduct of mono-maleated polyunsaturated vegetable oil and an alcohol mixture comprising an alcohol having at least 2 carbon atoms and methoxypolyethylene glycol having a number average molecular weight (M.sub.n) of at least 350.
