Cleavable surfactant
Cleavable surfactants of formula (I) ##STR00001##
having a total hydrophilic-lipophilic balance (HLB) of between 3 and 18 and wherein A is a group capable of releasing a flavor or fragrance aldehyde of formula (R.sup.1)CHO or a flavor or fragrance ketone of formula (R.sup.1)(R.sup.2)CO and is of formula ##STR00002##
wherein the wavy line indicates the location of the bond between L and A; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 represent a hydrogen atom or a saturated or unsaturated C.sub.1-C.sub.18 hydrocarbon group, provided that at least one of the R.sup.1 or R.sup.2 groups has 6 consecutive carbon atoms and that both R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 taken together comprise a maximum of 18 carbon atoms; and L is a linear, branched or cyclic, saturated or unsaturated C.sub.3 to C.sub.40 hydrocarbon group. These surfactants solubilize and/or stabilize flavor and fragrance aldehydes and ketones in an aqueous environment and at the same time to control their release by hydrolysis.
Liquid fabric treatment compositions comprising brightener

Soil release polymers and laundry detergent compositions containing them
The invention provides a polymer providing soil release properties (also termed a “soil release polymer” or SRP) when incorporated in a laundry detergent composition, the polymer comprising a capped polyoxyalkylene end block connected to a polyester segment; the polyester segment comprising alternating —B.sup.1-A-B.sup.2— and —R— units; in which B.sup.1 and B.sup.2 are each independently selected from —OC(O)— and —C(O)O— groups; A is a 2,5-furanylene ring and R is a divalent alkylene radical. The polymer provides good compatibility, stability and cleaning performance when incorporated into a laundry detergent composition, preferably a liquid laundry detergent composition, comprising one or more detersive surfactants.
RHEOLOGY MODIFIED LOW FOAMING LIQUID ANTIMICROBIAL COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to rheology modified, low foaming aqueous antimicrobial compositions. The compositions are phase stable under acidic conditions, and do not need to be rinsed from the surface to which they are applied. The present disclosure further relates to methods of use thereof.
Lipase variants and microcapsule compositions comprising such lipase variants
The present invention relates to variants of a parent lipase which has lipase activity and comprise one or more substitutions corresponding to G23S, D27N, A40I, F51I,L, E56R, D57N, V60E,K, K98I, N101D, R118F, G163S, T231R, N233R, Y220F, T244E, and P256T using SEQ ID NO: 2 for numbering. The present invention also relates to compositions or microcapsule compositions comprising a lipase variant of the invention and to liquid products comprising a microcapsule composition of the invention as well as the use of said microcapsule composition for stabilizing lipase variants of the invention.
Consumer product compositions with perfume encapsulates
Consumer product composition that includes encapsulates, the encapsulates having a core that includes perfume characterized by an acid value of greater than 5.0 mg KOH/g of perfume, the encapsulates also including a shell that includes a (meth)acrylate material. Methods of making and using such compositions.
Polyethyleneimine compounds containing N-halamine and derivatives thereof
This invention relates to odor control molecules comprised of polyethyleneimine compounds containing N-halamine and derivatives thereof.
COMPOSITION FOR DISSOLVING ABRASIVE PARTICLES AND CLEANING METHOD USING THE SAME
A composition for dissolving abrasive particles, and a cleaning method using the composition are provided. The composition includes a sulfur-containing organic acid, a fluorine ion-containing compound, and a solvent, and a turbidity change rate (%) measured at 60° C. for 15 minutes may be in a range of −80 to −99.
HIGH PERFORMANCE LOW VISCOELASTICITY FOAMING DETERGENT COMPOSITIONS EMPLOYING EXTENDED CHAIN ANIONIC SURFACTANTS
The invention meets the needs above by providing a surfactant system, mixture or blend that can be used as a part of a soaking composition. The surfactant system is capable of forming emulsions with, and thus removing, oily and greasy stains. In a preferred embodiment the surfactant compositions of the invention can remove non-trans fat and fatty acid stains. The invention involves foaming soaking compositions that have some or part of the anionic surfactant present in the same replaced with an extended chain anionic surfactant.
