MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS AND PROCESSES FOR CONSTRUCTING ARTICLES OF FOOTWEAR USING SACRIFICIAL STRAPS
Presented are systems, methods, and devices for manufacturing articles of footwear using sacrificial straps to secure segments of the footwear to a manufacturing fixture. A method for manufacturing an article of footwear, such as an athletic shoe, includes providing first and second segments of the footwear's upper, such as the vamp and heel counter. A sacrificial strap is removably attached at opposing ends thereof to the first segment, e.g., proximate a read edge of the vamp. The first segment is placed on a manufacturing fixture, such as a foot-shaped last, and securely attached to the fixture by positioning the sacrificial strap around and against the fixture. The second segment of the upper is attached, e.g., via stitching or bonding, to the first segment. Once attached, the upper is removed from the manufacturing fixture, and the sacrificial strap is cut, torn or otherwise permanently disconnected from the footwear.
"X" STITCHING METHOD FOR MOUNTING UPPERS BY MEANS OF THE STRING-LASTING SYSTEM
This is a patent application for an X stitching method, specifically intended for the assembly of uppers by the system known as tied stringstringlaster, with particular application in the footwear segment. The invention includes application to an upper (1), for full assembly of shoes, using string traction (2) as the responsible element for closing the edges of this upper (1), against the mold (3); with the overlock type stitching hereby used as an example of realization.

BOOTIES AND FOOTWEAR ASSEMBLIES COMPRISING SEAMLESS EXTENSIBLE FILM, AND METHODS THEREFOR
Waterproof, breathable socks, booties, shoe inserts, and footwear assemblies containing the shoe inserts are provided. The booties and shoe inserts may include a laminate comprising a seamless extensible film, such as a polyurethane film, and at least one textile. The bootie is suitable for a range of sizes and shoe shapes. The bootie may shrink to fit, or, alternatively, be stretched to fit, an asymmetrical last having a desired size to form a shoe insert. A bootie having a seamless extensible film eliminates the need to have multiple sizes of shoe inserts correlating to particular shoe sizes. In embodiments where the polyurethane film is seamless and continuous, the shoe insert eliminates the need for a waterproof seam tape, which is conventionally used to make shoe inserts waterproof. Methods of forming the socks, booties, and shoe inserts are also provided.

Method of forming three-dimensional composite
A method of forming three-dimensional composite comprising steps of: (a) manufacturing at least one shaping member; (b) fitting each of the at least one shaping member on each of at least one mold; (c) adhering at least one connection sheet on said each shaping member so as to form each of at least one semi-finished product; (d) fixing said each semi-finished product in a cavity; and (e) heating said each semi-finished product and vacuuming the cavity. Said shaping member has at least one orifice and covers said each mold, and each connection sheet has a substrate and an adhesive layer, a melting point of the adhesive layer is less than the substrate. Said each semi-finished product in the cavity is heated until the adhesive layer melts, and the cavity is vacuumed so that the adhesive layer penetrates into said each shaping member, thus producing a three-dimensional finished product.
Last with Retractable Pins
A last assembly includes a plurality of retractable pins and a plurality of vacuum holes, both acting to hold footwear segments to the last assembly to facilitate manufacturing of, or modification to, an article of footwear. A method of making or modifying an article of footwear includes placing footwear segments on the last assembly by associating an extension portion of at least one footwear segment with the retractable pins, modifying the footwear segments and then removing the extension portion.
