Interlacing equipment may be used to form fabric and to create a gap in the fabric. The fabric may include one or more conductive strands. An insertion tool may be used to align an electrical component with the conductive strands during interlacing operations. A soldering tool may be used to remove insulation from the conductive strands to expose conductive segments on the conductive strands. The soldering tool may be used to solder the conductive segments to the electrical component. The solder connections may be located in grooves in the electrical component. An encapsulation tool may dispense encapsulation material in the grooves to encapsulate the solder connections. After the electrical component is electrically connected to the conductive strands, the insertion tool may position and release the electrical component in the gap. A component retention tool may temporarily be used to retain the electrical component in the gap as interlacing operations continue.

In one form, the preform includes a web and a flange, wherein the web includes a plurality of warp yarns circumferentially oriented relative to the axis of revolution of the preform, and a plurality of weft yarns oriented radially relative to said axis, and the flange includes a plurality of warp yarns circumferentially oriented relative to the axis of revolution of the preform, and a plurality of weft yarns substantially parallel to said axis.

A method and system detect and remotely manage sensors and/or devices for feeding textile and/or metallic yarns on textile machines. Each textile machine includes an electronic control unit electrically connected to the sensors and/or feeding devices for receiving identifiers associated with a sensor and/or feeding device, and data and operating parameters representing a sensor and/or feeding device operating state. A first communication system is associated with the electronic control unit. Wireless communication between the electronic control unit and a portable electronic device is by a second wireless communication system with a display interface. The electronic control unit transmits the identifiers to the portable electronic device. The portable electronic device processes the identifiers to generate menus with selectable entries associated with the textile machines. Each menu represents the number/type of sensors and/or feeding devices installed. The main menu is displayed with selectable entries on the portable electronic device display interface.

Method for controlling the consumption of yarn in a weaving process
A textile machine receives a plurality of yarns from respective feeders, each provided with a control unit that calculates, for each garment produced, the amount of yarn consumed (YCmeas) and compares it with a reference consumption value (YCref). If the difference exceeds a preset limit value (% max) that indicates an anomaly, then an alarm is generated. Periodically, the control unit calculates an average consumption value (YCmed) on the basis of a preset number (Nmed) of already-finished garments, and compares it with the reference consumption value (YCref). If the difference exceeds a preset threshold value (% maxmed), then the reference consumption value (Yref) is set to the average consumption value (Ymed).
