SEWING MACHINE AND METHODS OF USING THE SAME

A system for calibrating one or more optical sensors on a sewing machine includes one or more optical sensors and one or more processors of the sewing machine. The optical sensors are arranged to collect data from one or more features of one or more predefined regions. The processors are for processing the data and are configured to: receive the data; detect and recognize the one or more features of the one or more predetermined regions from the data; calculate one or more accuracy indicators of the one or more features from the data as compared to a known feature; compare the value of the one or more accuracy indicators to one or more indicator thresholds; and adjust a parameter of at least one of the optical sensors based on the comparison between the one or more accuracy indicators and the one or more indicator thresholds.

A machine (M) for sewing, embroidering or quilting, in which a flat section (T1) of a textile structure (T) in a stretched state can be pressed against a textile structure support area (TA) adjacent to a stitch plate (SP) and/or against the stitch plate (SP) and moved in a plane parallel to the stitch plate (SP) at a speed (v) relative to the stitch plate (SP) so that the flat section (T1) lies flat against the stitch plate (SP). The machine (M) contains a detector module (DM) with which a property and/or a state of the moved flat section (T1) of the textile structure (T) can be detected, and a control unit (SE) with which an operating mode of the machine (M) can be adjusted depending on the detected property or the detected state of the moved flat section (T1) of the textile structure (T).

Sewing apparatus

A sewing apparatus for applying a stitch of thread to a piece of fabric is provided. The apparatus housing includes a platform for supporting a piece of fabric, and contains a grasping member that is moved to grasp and release a thread segment fed through the housing by a needle holder. The needle holder is positioned to hold a needle that has a needle aperture for pass-through, therethrough of the thread segment, and is movable between a withdrawn position, and an advanced position in which the needle holder drives the needle through the piece of fabric to bring the thread segment into position for grasping by the grasping member. The sewing apparatus also including a needle holder driver for driving the movement of the needle holder and a thread puller for pulling the thread segment to an exterior of the housing for a user to cut.

Sewing system, non-transitory computer-readable medium, and sewing machine

A sewing system is provided with a sewing machine and a terminal device capable of communicating with the sewing machine. The terminal device includes an input portion, a device processor, and a device memory. The device memory stores computer-readable instructions that, when executed by the device processor, instruct the device processor to perform processes. The processes executed by the device processor include acquiring sewing data including needle drop position data representing needle drop positions when sewing an embroidery pattern using the sewing machine, receiving an edit operation, on the input portion, to edit the embroidery pattern, transmitting, to the sewing machine, at least some of the sewing data, before terminating the receiving the edit operation, and transmitting, to the sewing machine, edit data according to the edit operation, after starting the transmitting the at least some of the sewing data.
