A cleaning system for cleaning high performance textiles, sports gear, and/or other laundry, which includes a washing agent and a protective agent. The protective agent is configured to create a bonded barrier comprising organosilane antimicrobial(s) on the high performance textiles, sports gear, and/or other laundry for protection against odors from bacteria, mold and mildew and/or the like. The washing agent and the protective agent are configured to be used in a two-step water-based treatment process in which the washing agent is provided in a given first step of the treatment process and the protective agent is provided in a given subsequent second step of the treatment process.

A gown or other apparel, for patient or caregiver, for use in healthcare settings that is chemically treated with anti-viral, antiseptic, and antibacterial solutions. Garments are either pre- or post-conditioned with an aseptic barrier that can reduce the presence of microorganisms in the fibers of the fabric that make up the gown. Non-toxic, non-irritant, and non-harmful agents are imbued into the gown that will safely cover reusable or disposable medical gowns, medical robes, medical socks, medical scrubs and all other medical-related apparel for both pediatric and adult patients.

METHODS OF TREATMENT OF VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS USING CHLORINE DIOXIDE
In various embodiments, methods of treating a space to reduce a concentration of volatile organic compounds present in the space using chlorine dioxide are provided. A method can include application of aqueous and gaseous chlorine dioxide solutions within the space or to materials located within the space. Treatment of materials that emit volatile organic compounds with chlorine dioxide can reduce the emission rate or shorten the volatile organic compound emission cycle of the material. Soft surface substrates such as carpeting materials can be treated with chlorine dioxide to reduce volatile organic compound emission and/or to reduce the number of microorganisms present in the material.
