Ultra-thin fabric, devices, and methods

A fabric can comprise yarns comprising less than about 30 denier total and less than about 10 denier per filament; a density of greater than about 177 yarns per cm.sup.2; and a thickness of less than about 3.2 mil. The fabric can further comprises a weight of less than about 60 g/m.sup.2. The fabric can have performance characteristics equivalent to or greater than those in conventional implantable fabrics. A method of making such a fabric can include twisting together filaments into a multifilament yarn; passing adjacent yarns into a loom in parallel so as to allow the yarns to be woven together more closely; maintaining a consistent tension on the yarns during placement of the yarns on a loom beam and during weaving; and or subjecting the fabric to increased heat and pressure so as to compress the yarns more tightly.

ADHESIVE TAPE

The invention relates to an adhesive strip, in particular a winding strip for sheathing cables in automobiles, comprising a textile support (1.2) that has at least one first fabric (1) and a second fabric (2) which are connected together and comprising an adhesive coating (5) on at least one face of the support (1, 2). According to the invention, the two fabrics (1, 2) are preferably coupled together solely by connection threads (3) of the fabrics.

Metal detectable scouring pad

A detectable scouring pad is provided that is made with a sparse unwoven base polymer that defines the pad shape, an overcoating of cured thermoset resin loaded with a particulate on the base polymer, the particulate present in an amount to render the polymer detectable by X-ray detection or magnetometer detection. A process of detecting a scouring pad includes forming a fiber composed of a base polymer having a cross-section and a length, and distributing a particulate on the thermoplastic polymer in a thermoset resin matrix. The process further includes forming a sparse unwoven thermoplastic polymer from the fiber, and manufacturing the scouring pad from the sparse unwoven polymer by overcoating the base polymer with a particulate loaded thermoset resin. The scouring pad is passed through an X-ray detector or a magnetometer detector, and a signal is collected from the detector indicative of the presence of the scouring pad.

BRAIDED ABSORBENT MATERIAL FOR USE IN A CONSUMABLE OF A NON-COMBUSTIBLE AEROSOL PROVISION SYSTEM

A method of manufacturing a braided absorbent material (50) for a consumable of a non-combustible aerosol provision system is disclosed. It comprises braiding strands of material (52) around the outside of a continuous rod of absorbent material (54) to form a continuous rod of braided material; and cutting the continuous rod of braided material into lengths of braided absorbent material. Each length of braided absorbent material includes at least a portion of the rod of absorbent material. A braided absorbent material comprising strands of material braided around the outside of a rod of absorbent material is also disclosed. The absorbent material (54) is capable of wicking aerosol generating material. The stands of material (52) may be magnetic metal wire to be used in an induction heating system, or may be flavour impregnated.

INDUSTRIAL TWO-LAYER FABRIC

The object of the present invention is to provide a fabric with a thinned thickness which exhibits excellent rigidity, good anti-extension property, good wear resistance, good hydration property and good surface smoothness property.

The present invention includes one upper surface side fabric constituted by warps on the surface side and upper surface side wefts, one lower surface side fabric constituted by lower surface side warps and lower surface side wefts, at least one warps on the surface side function as a warp binding yarn, two warps on the upper surface side are woven to form a pair on the upper surface side as the ribbed cord fabric, a ratio of the number of the warps on the upper surface side to that of the warps on the lower surface side is 2:1.

Sliding sheet and method for manufacturing the same

A sliding sheet includes a fabric layer is disclosed. The fabric layer includes warp yarns and weft yarns. The warp yarns are interlaced with the weft yarns. The sliding sheet has a first edge extending in a length direction of the sliding sheet. The warp yarns are bent toward a middle portion of the first edge. A method for manufacturing the sliding sheet is also disclosed. An auxiliary yarn is woven with the warp yarns and the weft yarns to form a fabric raw layer. A tension for weaving the auxiliary yarn is adjusted so that the tension of the auxiliary yarn is greater than the tension of the warp yarns, thereby bending the warp yarns in the fabric raw layer toward the auxiliary yarn. The fabric raw layer is heated to fix the shape of yarns, and cut into the fabric layer to form the sliding sheet.
