LANDSLIDE EXPERIMENTAL DEVICE AND EXPERIMENTAL METHOD FOR SIMULATING CONSTANT SEEPAGE FLOW

The present invention discloses a landslide experimental device for remotely controlling and simulating a constant seepage flow and weight load and an experimental method thereof in centrifuge test. The landslide experimental device includes a model box, a landslide device, a near-constant water flow control box, remote control devices and a water outlet pipe. The landslide device comprises a landslide model, a load balancing device, a weight storage device, an angle control panel and a tension bar. The remote control devices are arranged at the control box water outlet, at the control box water inlet, on the tension bar, on telescoping control sensors and on the weight storage device, respectively. With the present invention, the influences on the stability of landslide model with different landslide angles under the condition of the seepage flow and weight load can be simulated.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS

Systems and methods are provided for obtaining vehicle operating conditions at or near a section of roadway in order to determine whether existing/current roadway infrastructure at or near that section of roadway is causing a loss in operating efficiency. Vehicle operating conditions may be communicated by vehicles to roadside units via a vehicle-to-infrastructure communications system. Upon a determination that the existing/current roadway infrastructure is causing the loss in operating efficiency, one or more recommendations for improvements to the existing/current roadway infrastructure may be suggested to a municipality controlling the section of roadway. Estimates regarding the effectiveness of the improvements as well as actual measurements regarding implemented improvements may be determined in order to justify proceeding with implementing the improvements and/or generate additional improvement recommendations.

Rule based three-dimensional (3D) intersection model

A method, apparatus, system, and computer program product provide the ability to design a road intersection in a three-dimensional (3D) modeling and visualization system. Two roads are defined in the system with the second road intersecting the first road. A set of design rules (that define characteristics of use that contribute to a shape of the road intersection) is acquired. Based on the set of rules, a 3D model of the road intersection is directly created. A property of one of the roads is modified. Without additional user input, the 3D model of the road intersection is automatically and dynamically updated based on the modified property and while maintaining conformance with the set of design rules.

SYNERGISTIC DUAL-MODES SUSTAINABLE INTERCHANGE
20240254699 · 2024-08-01 ·

The present application relates to a synergistic dual-modes sustainable interchange. The interchange is mainly formed by accessible highways and intersecting roads, herein disposed with a plane intersection of traffic lights and crosswalks; under the schedule of dual modes of one-red and one-green, the plane intersection is connected to the connecting roads for entering and exiting the accessible highways or entering and exiting the accessible highways from the intersecting roads; the upstream and downstream accessible cut-through lanes are respectively disposed on both sides of the plane intersection by overpasses, and rejoin at the other end. The group of ramps for entering and exiting the accessible highways, their relevant connecting roads and the ring roads configured with error-corrected U-turn mechanism, are all disposed between the upstream and downstream portions of the highway.

AUTOMATIC TRANSPORT SYSTEM

The invention relates to an automatic transport system based on a network of one-way high-speed-traffic lanes (25, 26, 27, 28) without crossings or red lights, mainly on a pylon (13), dedicated to vehicles capable of operating in an automatic mode in which the driver plays no part in controlling the automotive vehicle. The transport system has stations for the travelers which are different from the entry and exit zones for the vehicles and has high-speed-traffic lanes and service lanes, so that not all of the vehicles are forced to go past the stations and the entry and exit zones.

ROAD SURFACE POWER GENERATION SYSTEM

A road surface power generation system is provided, which includes a glass layer, a solar cell chip, a substrate and a heating device. The solar cell chip is arranged between the glass layer and the substrate. The heating device is arranged on the glass layer or the substrate. In the road surface power generation system, the heating device is arranged on the glass layer or the substrate, for heating the glass layer, such that frost, snow and ice accumulated on the glass layer can be melted, thereby enhancing the light absorption rate of the solar cell chip, and improving the power generation efficiency.

ROAD SURFACE POWER GENERATION ASSEMBLY

A road surface power generation assembly is provided, which includes a substrate, a solar cell chip and a glass layer. The glass layer includes an upper glass layer and a lower glass layer which are secured through a sheet adhesive layer. The solar cell chip is arranged between the lower glass layer and the substrate.

SUSTAINABLY CONSTRUCTED PAVEMENT, AND METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR CONSTRUCTING THE SAME
20180371709 · 2018-12-27 ·

A sustainably constructed pavement and methods and apparatus for constructing the same are provided. A sustainable pavement may be constructed by creating a construction structure for a hot mix asphalt (HMA) pavement according to a pavement project; calculating a greenhouse gas (GHG) emission of the HMA pavement; performing a sustainable construction on the HMA pavement to modify one or more layers in the HMA pavement to form a sustainably constructed pavement; calculating a GHG emission of the sustainably constructed pavement; and obtaining a carbon reduction by comparing the GHG emissions of the HMA pavement and the sustainably constructed pavement.

APPARATUS THAT PROVIDES ENERGY INDEPENDENCE THROUGH ISLANDING FROM THE GRID VIA GREEN, SUSTAINABLE, RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES FOR COMMERCIAL/RESIDENTIAL STRUCTURES ON ELEVATED SPANS

Repurpose decommissioned elevated highways, decommissioned elevated railways, decommissioned bridges, viaducts, and causeways and or new construction of elevated spans by making provision for providing energy from non-fossil fuel sources, such as solar, wind, geothermal and/or hydrothermal, to provide the energy needs of habitable structures and facilities built upon such decommissioned elevated bridges, elevated railways or bridges. Such is done to provide energy independence for such spans that are to be free of fossil-fuel motor vehicle traffic (or trains).
