Modular block system for roundabouts
A roundabout for vehicular traffic is provided from a plurality of modular blocks arranged in a generally circular roundabout pattern and affixed to a roadway or ground surface at an intersection of vehicle roadways. Roundabouts can be formed in any desired diameter. In some embodiments, the modular blocks can have a trapezoidal plan shape laid out in concentric rings. The trapezoidal shaped blocks can be cut from a length of board having a constant width and thickness. The modular blocks can be provided as a kit of parts delivered to worksite at an intersection of vehicle roadways where a roundabout is desired. Splitter islands, sidewalks, and curbing of blocks having appropriate shapes can also be provided.

Base for turf system
An underlayment layer is configured to support an artificial turf assembly. The underlayment layer comprises a core with a top side and a bottom side. The top side has a plurality of spaced apart, upwardly oriented projections that define channels suitable for fluid flow along the top side of the core when the underlayment layer is positioned beneath an overlying artificial turf assembly.
VERTICAL TAKEOFF AND LANDING PAD AND INTERLOCKING PAVERS TO CONSTRUCT SAME
An interlocking paver system including a polygon paver and a spacer paver is provided. The polygon paver may have a top level having a top level polygon paver perimeter and a bottom level secured to and protruding from the top level and having a bottom level polygon paver perimeter contained within the top level polygon paver perimeter. The spacer paver may have a top level having a top level spacer paver perimeter and a bottom level secured to and protruding from the top level and having a bottom level spacer paver perimeter extending beyond an entirety of the top level spacer paver perimeter The spacer paver may be configured to selectively interlock with the polygon paver. The top level spacer paver perimeter, top level polygon paver perimeter, and bottom level spacer paver perimeter are different from one another.

Modular pavement slab
A modular pavement slab comprises a body, a strain sensor array, and a sensor processor. The body includes a top surface, a bottom surface, and four side surfaces. The modular pavement slab is configured to be coupled to at least one other modular pavement slab via connectors along at least one of the side surfaces. The strain sensor array is retained within the body and is configured to detect a plurality of strains on the body resulting from vehicular traffic across the top surface of the body. The sensor processor is in communication with the strain sensor array. The sensor processor is configured to communicate input signals to the strain sensor array, receive output signals from the strain sensor array, and determine a plurality of time-varying strain values, each strain value indicating a strain experienced over time by a successive one of a plurality of regions of the body.
Modular roundabout system with interconnectable boards
A modular roundabout or traffic calming system with interlocking connectors and a method of installation utilize a plurality of boards arranged in a pattern on a ground surface at an intersection of vehicle roadways, the pattern including one or both of a central island and a splitter island. At least some of the boards forming a perimeter of the pattern are affixed to the ground surface. At least some of the boards forming interior boards are interconnected at adjacent edges with connectors. The connectors can include a hinge joint so that the interconnected boards can be folded or rolled. A kit for a modular roundabout or traffic calming system is also provided.
Paver adhesive and method of laying pavers using same
Disclosed herein are paver adhesives including dry concrete mixes. The paver adhesive can include cement, silica sand, alumina silicate, and latex or acrylic polymer. The paver adhesive can be configured to be applied to a substrate in a dry state. The paver adhesive can be configured to become hydrated subsequent to pavers being installed over the paver adhesive, and the paver adhesive can be configured to cure and adhere paver tiles to the substrate following the hydrating.
Structural panel, a structural system and a method of forming a structural panel
A system and method of a structural panel includes a first outer sheet and a second outer sheet, the first outer sheet and second outer sheet including a polygon shape; a core arrangement sandwiched between the first outer sheet and the second outer sheet, the core arrangement comprising two or more discrete members arranged adjacent each other, the discrete members shaped or structured to reduce crack initiation and propagation within the core arrangement.
Traversable Road Covering Track
A spool-less system for deployment, recovery and manipulation of a traversable road covering track is provided. The system includes an arcuate guide member detachably coupled to a retaining means; the guide member and retaining means defining a volume for receiving a roll of traversable road covering; the guide member arranged to contact the roll along a first arcuate range and the retaining means configured to contact the roll along a second arcuate range; and wherein the guide member and retaining means are detachably coupleable having, a first position in which, the guide member and retaining means are separated at a first diameter whereby the roll of traversable road covering may be deployed or recovered when the host machine is in motion, and a second position in which, the guide member and retaining means are separated at a second diameter in which the roll of traversable road covering is retained.
