Illuminating panel integrated into a traversable surface
Disclosed is an illuminating panel, in particular integrated into a traversable surface, including, in succession, a first protective film arranged on the front face of the device, a first exterior encapsulating film, an interior encapsulating film, a second exterior encapsulating film, and a second protective film arranged on the rear face of the device, one of the films chosen from among the first exterior encapsulating film, the interior encapsulating film and the second exterior encapsulating film coating at least one active element suitable for emitting light. Also disclosed is a method for producing such a panel and a functional traversable surface with such a panel.
Paving block with improved illumination
A paving block with improved illumination (luminescent paving block) preferably includes a concrete base layer and a photoluminescent layer. The photoluminescent layer is formed on top of the concrete base layer. The concrete base layer is preferably created by combining sand, aggregate, water, pigment and cement to form an uncured concrete mixture. The photoluminescent layer preferably includes very fine aggreagate, cement, water, pigment, photoluminescent sand and a polyester resin infused with a photoluminescent pigment or a silica-based glass material infused with photoluminescent pigment. Further, a light transmitting sealant may be placed over the photoluminescent material.

PEDESTAL PAVER WITH TRANSPARENT OR TRANSLUCENT INSERTS
A pedestal paver has a plurality of apertures. There are a plurality of waveguide inserts wherein there is one waveguide insert in one apertures. The waveguide inserts are formed from a transparent or translucent material to permit light generated from a light source disposed vertically below the pedestal paver to shine upwardly through the waveguide insert. The waveguide inserts have a configuration that is complementary to the portion of the body of the pedestal paver that defines the aperture. The pedestal paver is supported by the pedestal at a corner of the paver.
