Composition having plasma-treated recycled steel fibers
The invention relates to a composition having plasma-treated recycled steel fibers within the matrix.
Flood mitigation system
A flood mitigation system comprises a number of barrier units connected end-to-end to form a flood barrier wall wherein each individual barrier unit includes gripping structure along a bottom wall to resist dislocation when impacted by flood water and floating debris and a seal is placed on an end wall of each barrier unit so that the barrier wall resists leakage of flood water between adjacent units.
Activators and methods of using the same for barricading a door
Barricade devices and methods of barricading a door are disclosed. Such devices and methods may be used to barricade a door, and thereby prevent an intruder from entering a sheltering space, such as a classroom, storeroom, or hallway. The barricade-device may have a pivotable stop-device that is pivotable from a location adjacent to a door. The pivot-location may be at an elevation that is lower than a door handle. The stop-device may be pivotable from a reserve-position to a stop-position. In the reserve-position, the stop-device does not barricade the door. In the barricade-position, the stop-device barricades the door. Operation of the barricade-device may require the application of an activation operation to an activator. A wide range of people having differing physical and mental capabilities may use the barricade-device properly and quickly.
Vertically raising safety rail with dual curtain assembly
A vertical raising safety rail. The safety rail includes lower linkage arm assemblies that are connected to a base and to a center rail assembly and configured to raise or lower the center rail assembly relative to the base when a rotational force is applied to the drive shaft. The safety rail also includes upper linkage arm assemblies that are connected to the center rail assembly and to a top rail. The upper linkage arm assemblies are connected to corresponding lower linkage assemblies and are configured to move the top rail relative to the center rail assembly. When the top rail is raised, one or more safety curtains are unfurled from a take-up roller inside the top rail to provide a safety curtain in the vertical plane of the safety rail.
Movable car arrester module and car arrester
A movable car arrester module and a car arrester are disclosed. The movable car arrester module includes an L-shaped support including a base and a vertical column connected to the base. At least one connecting assembly is arranged on the L-shaped support and is used for assembling two adjacent car arrester modules of the same structure into the car arrester. At least one traveling assembly is arranged on the L-shaped support and is mounted on the base. A plurality of car arrester modules are detachably assembled to form the array-type modular car arrester so that the police can intercept and control a vehicle in a short time, and the work efficiency is improved.
Modular vehicle barrier
An exemplary modular vehicle barrier includes a rigid, generally L-shaped frame having a base and an upright portion. The base including two or more joists spaced apart and extending orthogonal to a foot plate, wherein the foot plate is attached to a bottom surface at a front end of the two or more joists, the upright portion configured in a ladder arrangement having spaced apart vertical posts secured at bottom ends to a bottom beam and at top ends to a top beam, wherein the bottom beam is attached to a top surface at a back end of the two or more joists, and a wedge point formed the bottom surface of the second end of the two or more joists.
Portable roadside barrier
A roadside barrier includes a frame characterized by a plurality of legs and an assembly extending between the legs. The frame and the assembly have a first surface and a second surface. The frame is configurable to provide a barrier separating a vehicle or individual from vehicular traffic. The roadside barrier further includes one or more visible indicators disposed on at least the first surface of the assembly. The one or more visible indicators are arranged to form one or more indicia visible to vehicular traffic even in an absence of daylight. The one or more indicia include a light-reflective element, a light-emitting element, or a combination thereof.
CONCRETE BLOCK, PARTICULARLY ACCESS-DENIAL BOLLARD, WITH ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONALITIES
Disclosed is a concrete block, preferably made of fiber-reinforced concrete, including a body and anchor intended for lifting the block. The anchor is secured to the body and arranged in blind cavities without protruding out of these cavities, particularly arranged at the level of one of the faces of the body of the block such as the upper face of the block when the block is in the installed position on the ground. The body includes reservations and/or attachment/association components, the reservations and the attachment/association component being intended for attaching, preferably removably, or associating, technical equipment that is to be associated with the block. The concrete block is intended to constitute an access-denial bollard and, as a secondary function, a block for supporting and to which to fix technical equipment.
DEVICE FOR VEHICLE HINDRANCE AND RAINWATER TREATMENT AND SYSTEM COMPRISING THE SAME
A device for vehicle hindrance and rainwater treatment including a vehicle hindrance body and a well pit. The vehicle hindrance body includes a lower sidewall, the well pit includes a top opening, and the lower sidewall encloses the top opening. The lower sidewall includes a plurality of water inlet holes. The well pit includes an upper part, a lower part, and a partition disposed between the upper part and the lower part. The partition includes a plurality of leaking holes. The upper part of the well pit includes an outer ring belt filled with a rainwater pretreatment filler, a center ring belt filled with soil, and a rainwater collection ring belt disposed between the outer ring belt and the inner ring belt. The lower part includes a water-sand separating folded plate, a water-sand discharging channel, a rainwater collecting tank, and a rainwater storage chamber.
Gate for controlling oncoming traffic on a roadway
A gate for controlling oncoming traffic on a roadway (e.g. a highway). The gate comprises an arm movable between an extended position in which the arm extends into a given portion of the roadway to inform the oncoming traffic that the given portion of the roadway is closed and a retracted position in which the arm does not extend into the given portion of the roadway and thus leaves open the given portion of the roadway for the oncoming traffic. The gate also comprises a control system comprising an actuator and configured to support the arm and move the arm between the extended position and the retracted position. The arm may be quite long and vertically wide to close more of the roadway and be clearly visible to the oncoming traffic, while the gate may be crash-tested (i.e., compliant with crash-testing criteria), the control system may be compact, and the gate may be reusable and easily repairable if crashed into.
