Offshore facility evacuation systems
An offshore facility evacuation system that includes a submerged-floating pod (SFP) unit adapted to be positioned in a body of water adjacent an offshore facility, and a SFP station of the offshore facility adapted to launch the SFP unit from the facility. The SFP unit including a SFP controller, an SFP escape line to extend between the SFP station and the SFP unit to provide a path for moving persons from the SFP station to the SFP unit while the SFP unit is floating in the body of water, a SFP landing base including an inflatable platform to provide a landing area for persons, a SFP depth control system to regulate submergence of the SFP unit, a SFP location control system to control a location of the SFP unit, and a SFP communication system to provide communication with the SFP unit, and personal evacuation devices (PEDs).
Suction anchor for a subsea well
A suction anchor for a subsea well is provided. The suction anchor includes a wellhead support structure. The wellhead support structure is at least in part external of the internal volume of the suction anchor.

GROUTING METHOD
A method of fixing an offshore structure to a pre-piled foundation pile is provided. A tube is piled into the sea floor and the offshore structure includes a leg inserted into the foundation pile. Grout is applied to a first region between an end portion of the leg and the sea floor within the foundation pile. The grout is allowed to at least partially cure, and then grout is applied to a second region. The second region is an annular region between the leg and the foundation pile.
Subsea anchorage installation system
Various aspects include devices, systems, and methods for securing an anchoring element to a seafloor. The methods may use a subsea anchorage installation system that may include a subsea grout supply assembly. The subsea grout supply assembly may include a variable volume grout storage chamber, a paddle, and a subsea grout pump. The variable volume grout storage chamber may be configured to transport dry grout to a seafloor. The variable volume grout storage chamber may include a water injection port configured to receive water for mixing with the dry grout on the seafloor. The variable volume grout storage chamber may also be configured to expand from a collapsed configuration as water is injected.
PILE FOUNDATION WITH ANTI-IMPACT STRUCTURE FOR OFFSHORE WIND POWER AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD THEREOF
A pile foundation with an anti-impact structure for offshore wind power and a construction method thereof are provided. The anti-impact structure is sleeved on the pile foundation, and includes a first hoop, an impact absorption assembly and a second hoop. The impact absorption assembly includes a plurality of impact absorption rollers arranged around the pile foundation. Each of the impact absorption rollers includes a support shaft mechanism, an elastic absorber, a first sliding mechanism and a second sliding mechanism. The first sliding mechanism is slidably connected to the first hoop. The second sliding mechanism is slidably connected to the second hoop. The support shaft mechanism is rotatable relative to the first sliding mechanism and the second sliding mechanism.
Controlling movement of a cantilever structure of an offshore platform
For controlling movement of a cantilever of an offshore platform, displacements required for displacing an item to a target position including longitudinal skidding displacement and transverse skidding displacement of the cantilever of the cantilever are determined from current position data and target position data. From position dependent support load data support loads during the longitudinal skidding displacement are determined. If and until a sum of support loads or a highest support load decreases during the longitudinal skidding displacement towards the target position, the longitudinal skidding displacement precedes the transverse skidding displacement. If a sum of support loads or a highest support load increases during the longitudinal skidding displacement towards the target position, the transverse skidding displacement towards the target position precedes the longitudinal skidding displacement.
Granular dynamically strengthened structures
Exemplary inventive practice provides a structure that is attributed with superior resistance to loading. For example, an inventive structure includes two coaxial axisymmetric (e.g., cylindrical) shells and a granulation-filled matrix material occupying the peripheral space between the shells. According to some inventive embodiments, the granulation-filled matrix material has a loading-responsive matrix (e.g., shear-thickening fluid or highly rate-sensitive polymer) and granules dispersed therein. When the inventive structure encounters pressure loading at its exterior shell, the consistency of the loading-responsive matrix becomes thicker or firmer and thereby promotes, among the granules, interactive mechanisms (e.g., friction and/or arching) that reinforce the granulation-filled matrix material. According to some inventive embodiments, the granulation-filled matrix material has a magnetic-field-responsive matrix and magnetizable granules dispersed therein, and is magnetically fortified via application of a magnetic field (e.g., continuously applied where the matrix is magnetorheological fluid, or temporarily applied where the matrix is rheological fluid containing diamagnetic particles).
SUBSEA ASSEMBLY MODULARIZATION
A foundation for a subsea assembly is provided. The foundation includes connection points. The connection points permit other components to be connected to the foundation and permit loads to transfer from the other components into the foundation. The foundation may be a suction anchor. A method of converting an exploration well using the foundation to a production well is also provided.
