DRYING PAD WITH POLYMER-AGUMENTED SOIL BARRIER
A drying pad and a method for constructing a drying pad for a wet waste, of which the method includes adding a polymer additive to a soil to create a polymer-augmented soil, and spreading the polymer-augmented soil over a base soil to create drying pad comprising a polymer-augmented soil layer on top of the base soil. The polymer-augmented soil is configured to have the wet waste deposited thereon so that the wet waste dries on top of the polymer-augmented soil layer without leaching into the base soil and produces a dried waste for transfer to a disposal cell. The method also includes removing the polymer-augmented soil layer from the base soil after the dried waste is transferred to the disposal cell.
COVER BAND OF STEEL PIPE STRUT CONNECTOR, STEEL PIPE STRUT CONNECTOR HAVING SAME, AND STEEL PIPE STRUT ASSEMBLY
A cover band has a cover band body provided with a cover band arch portion corresponding to the outer peripheral surface of a steel pipe strut and a plurality of cover band through holes formed on the cover band body in such a manner as to correspond to a plurality of strut coupling holes. The cover band through holes have shapes of long holes extended in one direction and the extended direction of at least one of the cover band through holes is made to cross the extended direction of the other cover band through hole.
Safety grate
A safety grill or grate for use with a camera and the like during maintenance.
Temporary support structure
The disclosed technology includes temporary support structures for use in the repair of a transmission tower. A typical transmission tower includes a tripod that receive the load of the tower and distributes it to piles embedded in the ground. A temporary support structure may temporarily remove the load of the transmission tower from the tripod to allow the tripod to be removed and replaced with a new tripod. A temporary support system may include a pile temporary support system, a beam support structure supported by the pile temporary support system, and a flower pot adapter lifting assembly configured to attach to a portion of the transmission tower to transfer a load of the transmission tower to the beam support structure.
Steel pipe cofferdam construction method using suction penetration and stacking of pipe members
A circular pipe member is penetrated into the seabed by a suction pressure, and a plurality of circular pipe members are vertically stacked thereon and integrated thereto to construct a cofferdam. When dismantling the cofferdam, the circular pipe members are disassembled and dismantled in order by using a lifting wire installed at a newly constructed structure installed in the inner space of the cofferdam.
COVER DEVICE
A cover device for use with an aperture disposed through a surface and having an inner perimeter surface includes a cover plate having a body portion with inner and outer surfaces and at least one elongated channel disposed therethrough. The cover plate includes a plurality of retention members extending inwardly into the at least one elongated channel. At least one engagement feature is operably coupled to the cover plate at the at least one elongated channel and slidably disposed along the at least one elongated channel between retracted and deployed positions. The at least one engagement feature includes at least one engagement member disposed below the inner surface of the cover plate that engages the inner perimeter surface of the aperture when the at least one engagement feature is in the deployed position when the cover plate is positioned over the aperture.
Containment unit and method of using same
The present invention generally relates to containment and control of an oil spill caused by a damaged or broken riser in deep water. More specifically, the present invention relates to a reusable unit that will contain oil spills to a specific location and will also allow oil to be harvested as it flows to the top of the unit while minimizing or even eliminating any environmental clean-up impact or cost. The unit of the present invention is dropped over a damaged or broken riser in a closed position, the unit is released and stabilized in sections until the surface is reached and the containment unit is completely erected.
Erosion control and water flow control
A bio-friendly water flow control system can include a portable structure adapted to contain organic waste material. The water flow control system can be configured for deployment outdoors to guide water flow to limit erosion. A portable structure of such a system can include a sheath that is configured to contain waste material within an interior of the sheath. The portable structure may be configured to allow a flow of water into the interior of the sheath. The portable structure may include a waste material that includes processed palm frond particles. The portable structure may be configured to absorb a weight of water at least 50% greater than a dry weight of the portable structure.
STEEL PIPE COFFERDAM CONSTRUCTION METHOD USING SUCTION PENETRAION AND STACKING OF PIPE MEMBERS
Systems and methods for constructing retaining wall structure and well point in granular soils under groundwater level
The present invention discloses a system and method for constructing retaining wall structure and well point in granular soils under groundwater level. The system is configured to drain the excavated zone and stabilizes the soil slope wall especially in urban lands with granular soils and high groundwater level during construction process. The system is configured to enable installation of vertical beams and polyethylene grooved drainage pipes wrapped by geotextile for drainage in the boundaries of the desired land by using a hammering casing pipe system. The hammering casing pipe system comprises a casing to receive the vertical beam and the drainage pipe, a mandrel for inserting the casing to the target location without removal of soil in the casing, a hammer element for hammering the mandrel into the target location, and a steel shaft or an impact transmission shaft configured to transfer impact from the hammer element to the mandrel.
