CONTROLLING MOVEABLE ROBOT BLOCKS TO DYNAMICALLY FORM A BARRIER
20200156244 · 2020-05-21 ·

Provided are a computer program product, system, and method for controlling moveable robot blocks to dynamically form a barrier. A barrier plan is generated indicating a placement of moveable robot blocks at locations in a coordinate system to form a barrier in a geographical area, wherein the coordinates system indicates locations for the moveable robot blocks to form the barrier. Commands are transmitted to the moveable robot blocks deployed in the geographical area where the barrier is to be formed to cause the moveable robot blocks to move to the locations in the coordinate system in the barrier plan to form the barrier.

Apparatus and associated methodology contemplating an excavation shoring apparatus, having a pipe sized to circumferentially enclose at least one human user working in a subterranean excavation. A plurality of channel brackets is attached to the pipe, each channel bracket forming an elongated cross-sectional profile defining a channel having a longitudinal axis extending along the channel bracket. The excavation shoring apparatus also has a plurality of selectively removable legs, each leg forming an elongated cross-sectional profile defining a beam. Each channel is configured to receivingly engage the beam in a closely-mating slidable relationship. The excavation shoring apparatus also has a plurality of removable fasteners, each connecting one of the legs to the respective channel bracket by simultaneously passing through an opening in the channel bracket and a selected opening of a plurality of openings in the leg. The selected opening in the leg corresponds to a desired position of the leg along the longitudinal axis.

CONTAINMENT UNIT AND METHOD OF USING SAME

The present invention generally relates to containment and control of an oil spill caused by a damaged or broken riser in deep water. More specifically, the present invention relates to a reusable unit that will contain oil spills to a specific location and will also allow oil to be harvested as it flows to the top of the unit while minimizing or even eliminating any environmental clean-up impact or cost. The unit of the present invention is dropped over a damaged or broken riser in a closed position, the unit is released and stabilized in sections until the surface is reached and the containment unit is completely erected.

Anti-erosion system made of geosynthetic material

The present invention relates to an anti-erosion system made of geo-synthetic material, preferably of polysteel raw material (polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) mixture) instead of only polypropylene or polyester or nylon, resulting in a compromise between the mechanical properties of polypropylene, the chemical properties of polyethylene, and the good resistance to the environmental agents achieved through the incorporation of molecular chain stabilizers. The fraction of PP should range from 50% to 90% and the fraction of PE from 10% to 50%.

The disclosed technology includes temporary support structures for use in the repair of a transmission tower. A typical transmission tower includes a tripod that receive the load of the tower and distributes it to piles embedded in the ground. A temporary support structure may temporarily remove the load of the transmission tower from the tripod to allow the tripod to be removed and replaced with a new tripod. A temporary support system may include a pile temporary support system, a beam support structure supported by the pile temporary support system, and a flower pot adapter lifting assembly configured to attach to a portion of the transmission tower to transfer a load of the transmission tower to the beam support structure.

Pad site construction and method

A pad site and a method for supporting a rig structure, of which the method includes positioning a plurality of piles in a ground of a core operating section of a pad site, and laying a plurality of mats over the pad site. A first portion of the plurality of mats are at least partially supported by the plurality of piles, and a second portion of the plurality of mats are not supported by the plurality of piles. The first portion of the plurality of mats are configured to support a rig structure.
