Drain cleaner
A drain cleaner includes a drum assembly configured to store a cable and an actuator assembly movable relative to the drum assembly between a neutral position, where the cable is free to spin and translate out of the drum assembly, an autofeed position, where the cable is allowed to spin and is automatically driven out of the drum assembly, and an autofeed locked on position, where the actuator assembly is maintained in the autofeed position without continuous input from a user. The actuator assembly includes a handle supported by the drum assembly and an autofeed locking mechanism. The autofeed locking mechanism includes a drive lock and a lock release. The drive lock engages the handle to maintain the actuator assembly in the autofeed locked on position.
SLIPPAGE DETECTION
A propulsion system is provided for advancing a cable of a sewer cleaning and/or sewer inspection system, comprising a propulsion device, a measuring device for measuring the advancement of the cable, and an evaluation device. The propulsion device and the measuring device are adapted to provide a first and a second measured value of the advancement of the cable independently of one another, and the evaluation device is adapted to form a difference between the first measured value and the second measured value. A control device may be provided which adjusts the advancement based on the determined difference. A correspondingly designed method is also provided.
Drain rod system and connectors therefor
A drain rod system for connecting at least two rods together and/or to a peripheral device, said rods and/or devices connected or coupled together by one or more connection means which including a first male portion at least part of which includes a non-circular member and a second female portion at least part of which is configured to receive at least part of the non-circular member extending from an adjacent male portion. The connection means further including first and second threaded engagement members, said first threaded member including a thread or threaded portion and at least part of the second threaded member adapted to receive at least part of the thread or threaded portion, wherein at least one or both of said threaded members includes a grip portion to enable the user to engage or disengage the male and female portions and/or the first and second threaded members by hand.
WATER TREATMENT APPARATUS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND HOUSEHOLD WATER TREATMENT APPARATUS
A water treatment apparatus management system which manages a household water treatment apparatus located at or near a place of water use, and treats water before treatment with at least one type of filter to produce treated water for the place of water use. The system includes: a filter information storage unit storing information regarding an in-service filter used in the household water treatment apparatus; an information receiver receiving information regarding performance change of the in-service filter from the household water treatment apparatus; and a water type estimation means that estimates a water type of the water before treatment based on the information regarding performance change and the information regarding the in-service filter. The information regarding the in-service filter includes reference information of performance change of the same or the same type of filter as the in-service filter for each of plural types of reference water before treatment.
Closet auger
A closet auger includes an elongated casing member extending along an axis, a cable drum rotatably coupled to the elongated casing member, a drive coupling connected to the cable drum to rotate the cable drum about the axis, and a flexible cable having a first length stored within the cable drum and a second length extending through the casing member and out from the casing member. The closet auger also includes a feed assembly having a handle movable along the casing member and a plurality of gripping members carried by the handle. Each gripping member has a first end pivotally coupled to the handle and a second end biased radially outward from the handle. The plurality of gripping members is circumferentially spaced about the axis and operable to selectively engage the flexible cable to push the flexible cable into or pull the flexible cable out of the cable drum.
Sewer cleaning machine
A sewer cleaning machine includes a frame and a drum rotatably supported by the frame. The drum is positioned on a first side of the frame. The sewer cleaning machine also includes a first motor supported by the frame and coupled to the drum. The first motor is operable to rotate the drum. The sewer cleaning machine further includes a cable positioned at least partially within the drum. The cable is configured to be extended from and retracted into the drum. The sewer cleaning machine also includes a track positioned on a second side of the frame. The track includes a first endless belt configured to rotate about a first roller. The sewer cleaning machine further includes a second motor supported by the frame and coupled to the first roller. The second motor is operable to drive the track.
DRAIN CLEANER
A drain cleaner includes a shroud with a closed end and an open end opposite the closed end and a drum assembly positioned within the shroud. The drum assembly is rotatable relative to the shroud. The drum assembly includes an inner drum and a drum cover extending entirely over an open forward end of the inner drum. The drain cleaner also includes a flexible cable stored within a cavity defined by the inner drum and the drum cover of the drum assembly. The flexible cable is supported by the inner drum. The drain cleaner further includes a handle assembly coupled to and extending rearwardly from the shroud. The handle assembly includes a motor, a grip, and an actuator to selectively energize the motor. The actuator is positioned in an area defined between the grip and the shroud.
Drain cleaning cable
A drain cleaning cable for use with a drain cleaner. The drain cleaning cable includes an inner core having a first end and a second end, and an outer wire concentrically surrounding the inner core, where the outer wire is helically wound in a first direction to form a plurality of consecutive coils, and where the outer wire has a first end and a second end.
