A pole for supporting at least one device thereon, the pole comprising: a post to support weight of the pole and to attach the at least one device thereto; and at least one cover at least partially covering at least one side of the post, the post and the at least one cover together defining at least part of a longitudinal channel in the pole to house the at least one device attached to the post; wherein an edge of the cover is in so pivotable engagement with the post to allow access to the post in the longitudinal channel.

Load transfer arrangement

An arrangement for making a field repair on a multi-part pole having upper and lower walls joined together by a flanged connection, wherein the welds on the flanged connection are beginning to show signs of failure. The arrangement includes a bracket having a substantially “U”-shaped central portion which spans the flanged connection, and upper and lower elongated portions extending from the central portion, lying flush against and secured to the upper and lower walls of the pole, respectively.

SMART CITY MODULES AND SYSTEM

The present invention relates to a system to provide a smart city platform for urban areas by utilizing module units that contain multiple types of technology and equipment. A smart city platform is created with a multiplicity of module units installed throughout a cityscape. The module units house various equipment, such as various antennas, cables, brackets and other equipment, to enable smart city connectivity and services and may be additionally fitted with service station units to provide extra capabilities and services to communities.

FAST-ROPE TRAINING APPARATUS

A training apparatus for fast-rope training includes a platform-supporting structure having one or more containers and at least one platform configured for use in fast-rope training. At least one attachment is provided for attaching a fast-rope. The platform-supporting structure is supportable by a surface. The at least one attachment is located higher than the platform and spaced laterally from the platform-supporting structure such that the at least one attachment overhangs the surface so a fast rope can hang from the at least one attachment, past the platform and toward the surface.

Modular Systems and Methods for Transporting Tower Assembly of Wind Turbine
20210170936 · 2021-06-10 ·

A system and method are used for transporting a plurality of tower sections of a wind turbine on beds of transport devices, such as flat railcars. Supports affix at support locations on beds to accommodate at least one of the tower sections on each of the transport devices. The supports can include bed supports, such as tabs, extending from the beds, and can include cradle supports with slots that engage on the tabs. A circumferential dimension of a cradle is adjusted on each of the supports against which the tower section rests. Each of the tower sections is then supported with at least two of the supports by loading the tower sections on the transport devices. An end of each of the tower sections is then affixed to a flange on at least one of the supports on each of the transport devices.

Described herein is a clip for connecting an access cover to a pole. The clip may comprise a plate, a lip, and a spring arm. The plate will comprise a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, a first edge, and a second edge opposite the first edge. The lip will extend from the first surface of the clip at the first edge, and may comprise a threaded hole. The spring arm will extend from the second surface at the second edge, and may comprise a proximal end, a mid-section, and a bowed distal end. The proximal end will be attached to the second surface at the second edge while the mid-section will be attached to and extend from the proximal end, and the bowed distal end will be attached to and extend from the mid-section. The clip may be manufactured of a material having an elastic modulus (E) in the range of between 150 to 300 GPa.

Cover assembly

Various devices are efficiently mounted on a pole while reducing the probability of spoiling the view around the pole. A cover assembly 100 includes a plurality of covers 1 and 2, the outer shapes of the covers being respectively shapes obtained by dividing a hollow elongated body at predetermined intervals in the circumferential direction, each of the covers having an internal housing space portion; and mounting mechanisms 5 to 8 for mounting the covers on a pole 9 located to be surrounded by the inner peripheral face of each of the covers in a state in which the covers are arranged to form a hollow elongated body as a whole.

MAST, LIGHTING DEVICE, AND STREET LIGHT POLE

The invention provides a mast comprising a modular, hollow tubular body having cylindrical, outer wall segments with an outer surface and enclosing an axially extending cavity, said tubular body comprising in its cavity a first mast segment arranged in between a base segment and a second mast segment and releasably connected thereto. Each of the base, first and second mast segment has an internal structure for bearing the weight of the mast, the internal structure of the first mast segment comprises in the cavity an axially extending inner cylinder connected via radially extending ribs to outer cylinder portions at a first respectively a second end of the inner cylinder and said ribs axially extending from said first end to said second end. Said inner structure being surrounded by a removably mounted, outer wall segment. The inner cylinder by a core wall of the inner cylinder encloses an axially extending core cavity for enabling cabling to pass through from the cavity in the base segment to the cavity in the second mast segment. In mounted position the first part is connected with the first end of its core wall directly to the base part and with a second end of its core wall to the second mast segment.
