A door latch assembly configured to be used in an aircraft lavatory door. The door latch assembly includes a housing that includes a housing interior, a switch member operatively associated with the housing that is rotatable between a first position and a second position, and a locking bolt that is movable linearly between an unlocked position and a locked position. Rotation of the switch member from the first position to the second position moves the locking bolt from the unlocked position to the locked position.

LOCKING MECHANISM

The invention concerns a locking mechanism provided and adapted to interact with at least one locking element to establish a locking between the locking mechanism and the locking element, wherein the locking mechanism comprises a first locking pawl and a second locking pawl which are rotatable independently of each other about a first rotary axis, wherein the first locking pawl is provided and adapted to interact with a first locking element and wherein the second locking pawl is provided and adapted to interact with a second locking element, wherein a secured locking is present when the first locking element is locked to the first locking pawl and the second locking element is locked to the second locking pawl.

DOOR BARRICADE WITH SINGLE MOTION EGRESS

The present invention is an improved door barricade having a pivoting locking arm which drops into a floor hole to lock a barricade in place. In this invention, a system of single motion egress is taught which allows the barricaded door to be opened by the door knob or other exit means.

Pet guide platform for a pet door opening

A foldable pet apparatus has a rigid platform member, a rigid barrier member, and a support member. The rigid barrier member is attached to one end of the rigid platform member by a hinge. The support member is attached to the rigid platform member at its other end with a hinge. The support member may be attached to a vertical wall below a pet door opening. When the foldable pet apparatus is in a deployed position, the rigid platform member provides a place for a pet to stand after it passes through the pet door. The rigid barrier member prevents the pet from going straight off of the end of the rigid platform member. The pet must turn to the right or left to leave the platform. When the foldable pet apparatus is in the collapsed position, it blocks the pet door opening.

Hands free gate

The present gate includes a barrier frame and a gate in the barrier frame. The gate is opened by inserting a foot into a foot opening in the gate, which action compresses springs disposed about pivot pins between the gate and the barrier frame and draws an extended latch downwardly and out of a latch receiver that is bottomless, which action unlatches and frees the gate from the barrier frame such that the gate can be swung open. Downward travel of the gate is minimized until a foot pushes a pivoting stop out of the way.

Adjustable dead-latching bolt mechanism

A latch mechanism having an adjustment mechanism that adjusts the distance to which a latch bolt extends into a mating recess. The adjustment mechanism may include a driver component and a driven component. Rotation of the driver component about a first axis may displace the driven component, thereby causing the position of the latch bolt to be adjusted along a second axis that is non-parallel to the first axis. According to certain embodiments, the first axis is perpendicular to the second axis. The latch mechanism may also include an inner housing that is displaced as the latch bolt is extended into, and retracted from, a mating recess in an adjacent structure. Further, the position of the inner housing may remain generally static as the position of the latch bolt is adjusted along the second axis via operation of the adjustment mechanism.

T-Shaped Lever Gate Latch Pull System and Kit

A lever gate latch pull system with a pivoting T-shaped lever has two aligned first and second arms affixed to a swinging base foaming a T with a pivot hole proximate the junction of the aligned first and second arms and the swinging base. The T-shaped lever is pivotally affixed to a fence post to pivot the arms up and down as the swinging base correspondingly moves in a side to side upward arc. Affixed to the end of the swinging base is a weighted chain extending to and secured via a fastener to the free end portion of the pivotal latch lever of the gate latch in the resting position. The weighted chain provides pressure on the pivotal latch lever to stay in the latched position until lifted by the T-shaped lever. In operation, when the T-shaped lever handle first or second arms are positioned just beneath the top of the fence and depressed, they pivot the swinging base in an upward arc to pull the chain up to unlatch the gate latch to open the gate from either side.

A handle assembly includes a lock cylinder of a selected one of a first standard or a different second standard. A tail piece extends from the lock cylinder. The handle assembly also includes a vertical tubular member, a horizontal tubular member and a transition plate. The transition plate is disposed within the vertical tubular member and is moveable between a first position and a different second position. The transition plate accommodates installation of the lock cylinder of the first standard when in the first position and installation of the lock cylinder of the second standard when in the second position. A mechanical linkage is coupled to the tail piece and effects movement of a locking bolt in response to turning of a key in the lock cylinder.
