TIE BAR AND GUIDE FOR CASEMENT WINDOW

A tie bar and guide assembly for casement windows having a roll form tie bar that snaps on to the tie bar guide without extending through it. The tie bar has locating openings that engage tabs on the tie bar guide to locate and secure the guide prior to installation. The tabs are depressed and disengaged when fasteners are used to secure the tie bar assembly to the window frame. The tie bar can include rivet locking points located close to the top and bottom of the tie bar to provide better security and increased stability for preventing water and air infiltration. The rivet locking points can be adjustable to optimize the fit of the window sash within the frame. The snap-on design reduces the overall height of the tie bar assembly thereby enabling a closer fit of the sash within the frame and reducing the required width of the window frame needed to accommodate the locking mechanism.

In a work vehicle of the present invention, a load carrying bed includes a floor panel, a pair of left and right side panels, and a rear gate which is openable and closable. The rear gate includes left and right lock operational portions for maintaining the rear gate under a closing posture through engagement with locking engagement portions formed in the left and right side panels, a single handle disposed at an intermediate position in the left/right direction of the rear gate and supported to be pivotable about a horizontally oriented operational axis X, and left and right operational wires for operating left and right locking members in a direction for pulling these locking members out of the locking engagement portions by an operation of the handle about the operational axis X.

Interlock for enclosures

An interlock for an enclosure can include a primary door activator with an activator arm, a secondary door activator, and a rotatable arrangement that links the primary and secondary door activators. The activator arm can block a primary door of the enclosure from being closed when the activator arm is in an open configuration. The activator arm can be configured to rotate with the rotatable arrangement in a first direction towards the open configuration as the primary door is opened, and in a second direction away from the open configuration as the primary door is closed. The secondary door activator can be configured to engage the rotatable arrangement to prevent rotation of the rotatable arrangement when the secondary door is open, and to permit rotation of the rotatable arrangement when the secondary door is closed.

A door exit device may include an actuator, an upper latch, and a lower latch. The actuator may be operatively coupled to the upper latch by a first drive and to the lower latch by a second drive. Each drive may include a housing which is mountable to the exterior of a door panel and a drive rod slidably supported within the housing. The housing may include a base which is mountable to the door panel and a cover attachable to the base with the drive rod located between the base and the cover. The housing may be configured to extend from the actuator to the latch to conceal the entire length of the rod between the actuator and the latch.

DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

The present invention provides a motorised door lock assembly 10 in order for a user to be able to lock and unlock a door remotely and/or with a conventional key or with a thumb turn 22 from the inside. In particular, a user may decide to continue to use a key from the outside and the thumb turn (or an internal key mechanism) from the inside but at any stage the user (or a different user) may decide to operate the lock remotely. The motorised system may be activated by a number of actuators and, in particular, the motorised system may be activated by a remote key fob, a smart phone, an internally mounted push button or an external key pad. The assembly of the present invention is able to provide a continuous choice of all three methods (where permitted) without the risk of the lock becoming stuck in one position and without the user having to perform an elaborate particular sequence to operate the lock. The present invention is particularly for use with a Euro cylinder lock combined with a multipoint locking system 14 which thereby has operating limitations. The remotely activated motorised mechanism comprises a motor 50, a worm gear 52, a driven gear 54, rotary locking spindle engagement means 30 to transmit movement of the motor 50 to a rotary locking spindle of the cylinder lock, and a remote control actuator, the remotely activated motorised mechanism further comprising a multipoint monitoring system to determine an operational status of the multipoint locking mechanism and a rotary lock bolt monitoring system to determine an operational status of the lock bolt; and wherein the rotary locking spindle engagement means is arranged to directly engage a component of a thumb turn mechanism of a door lock.
