Portable door securement device
A portable door securement device is provided having a member extending from a first end engaged to a doorknob of a swinging door or endwall of a sliding door. A second end of the securement device is configured to be engaged with a support surface adjacent the door, to prevent opening of the door in a direction toward the engaged member.
Door Security Assembly
A door security assembly for blockading a door in a lockdown situation includes a blockade device. An element of the blockade device insertable into a gap defined by a door and a crash bar that is engaged to the door. Each of a pair of fasteners engaged to the blockade device is selectively engageable the crash bar, so that the blockade device is reversibly engaged to the crash bar with the element positioned in the gap. The blockade device prevents actuation of the crash bar so that the door cannot be opened. The fasteners are positioned so that two hands are required to simultaneously disengage the fasteners from the crash bar to enable disengagement of the blockade device from the crash bar.
Door Security Device
A door security device may restrict movement of a swinging door. The security device may include first and second door members and a connecting member. The first and second door members may be mounted to first and second door panels, respectively. The first and second door members include first and second slots, respectively. The connecting member has first end with a shape configured to mate with the first and second slots to permit the first end to slide into the first and second slots such that the connecting member extends out of the first slot and the second slot through openings in the first outer face and the second outer face.
Latch arrangement having a stop latch
A latch arrangement for fastening a panel of a door or a window to a frame element, the panel including a depression is provided. The latch arrangement includes a locking element pivotally mounted an the frame element and displaceable between a locked position in which the locking element is engaged with the depression of the panel locking thereby the panel to the frame element, and an unlocked position in which the locking element is disengaged from the depression of the panel unlocking thereby the panel from the frame element, a stop latch selectively deployable to secure the locking element in the locked position, precluding thereby displacement of the locking element to the unlocked position; and an actuating mechanism configured to selectively pivot the locking element away from the depression to the unlocked position.
DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY FOR A DWELLING
A door assembly is provided having a latch assembly. The latch assembly includes a head portion, a first latch housing, a second latch housing, a latch hub, and a hub cradle. The latch housings both define a respective opening. The hub cradle defines a recess offset from a center of the hub cradle. The hub cradle is positioned between the latch housings, and the latch hub is positioned in the hub cradle so that it is aligned with the recess. The hub cradle is configured to be received in the openings of the latch housings to provide a latch assembly having a short backset panel configuration or a long backset panel configuration. A distance from the head portion to the latch hub in the long backset panel configuration is larger than a distance from the head portion to the latch hub in the short backset panel configuration.
Door Viewport With Cross-Door Locking Bar
The door viewport with cross-door locking bar laterally spans the door frame with a viewport exterior lip on the door and an interior face plate near an interior of the door forming, in one instance, a mid-bar capture channel. Alternatively, the viewport has an interior extension coacting with a complementary interlocking element on the cross-bar's midpoint. Either construct holds the cross-door locking bar substantially at its mid-point. Cross-bar terminal end mounts removably attach the cross-bar to the door frame. One type of mount is an L-bracket. Another type of mount is a controllable transverse extension member forcing a door frame plate against the door frame. A user-controlled extension means forces the cross-door locking bar away from the door frame plate, with either a screw drive system or a grooved rod with spring loaded lever control.
Electrical panelboard guard with coupled members
Disclosed herein is a panelboard guard assembly configured to restrict access to a panelboard having a cover and a door defined therein, the cover having first and second side edges. The panelboard guard assembly includes overlapping members that are, at least in some implementations, mutually coupled to each other. The panelboard guard assembly further includes an adjustment mechanism that extends between and couples the members together, the adjustment mechanism facilitating adjustment of the distance between the outer ends of the members.
Systems and methods for preventing the opening of a door by unauthorized personnel
Systems, methods, and apparatus are disclosed involving a door blocking apparatus to reduce a likelihood of, and possibly prevent, opening of a door by unauthorized personnel. The apparatus may be networked in a security system and may be connectable to an online security platform. In a particular embodiment, an embodiment of the invention may include a security system involving a plurality of door locations having a plurality of networked door blocking apparatus. Each door blocking apparatus may include a door blocking mechanism operable by a user on a safety side of a door, such as having the user rotate an apparatus handle that rotates the door blocking mechanism between a non-blocking position and a blocking position. In the non-blocking position, the door blocking apparatus does not block the door from opening and closing. In the blocking position, the door blocking apparatus blocks the door from opening and from closing completely.
Door Locking Assembly
A door locking assembly for locking a door from the inside includes a brace that has a pair of slots each integrated therein such that a respective one of the slots can be positioned on a neck of a doorknob. The brace is longitudinally elongated to extend between a door on which the doorknob is positioned and an adjacent door jamb. A pair of fingers is each coupled to and extends away from the brace. Each of the fingers extends along a line oriented perpendicular to the brace. In this way each of the fingers extends between the door and the door jamb thereby inhibiting the brace from spinning downwardly on the doorknob.
Saloon-type lavatory door
A saloon-type door assembly that includes left and right door assemblies that each include a frame adapter having a curved inner surface with a first apex, a front portion and a rear portion, a door adapter that includes a curved outer surface with a second apex a front portion and a rear portion, a door panel associated with the door adapter, at least one front hinge strip secured along a front hinge strip path, and at least one rear hinge strip that is secured along a rear hinge strip path. The front hinge strip path extends from the front portion of the curved outer surface of the door adapter to the rear portion of the curved inner surface of the frame adapter. The rear hinge strip path extends from the rear portion of the curved outer surface of the door adapter to the front portion of the curved inner surface of the frame adapter. The door panels are movable between a front open position, a closed position and a rear open position.
