The two drive devices can assume different positions during the movement of the movable furniture part. The arrangement also includes a correction device, by which both drive devices can be brought into the same position.

The present invention provides a sensing device and a loading rate estimation system that has a high durability, enables stable sensing of the opening angle of a load compartment door, and makes it possible to minimize a decrease in the freedom of design around the load compartment door. In the present invention, a sensing device has: a recognition unit for acquiring an image obtained by imaging a part of the load compartment door in an open state, and recognising a door-corresponding portion, which is a portion corresponding to the load compartment door in the image; and a calculation unit for calculating, as the opening angle of the load compartment door, the angle between the door-corresponding portion and a reference portion.

A lid opening/closing device includes: a base member provided with an opening; a lid configured to open/close the opening; and a positioning portion configured to position at least a vertical position of the lid relative to the base member at a closed position of the lid. The positioning portion includes an engagement recess portion provided to the base member in a recess shape, and an engagement projection portion provided to the lid in a projection shape and configured to be engaged with the engagement recess portion at least in an up-down direction at the closed position of the lid. The engagement recess portion includes a rib extending in the up-down direction at the closed position of the lid. The rib is engaged at a distal end thereof with the engagement projection portion at the closed position of the lid.

Methods and systems are described for determining operation of an openable barrier and direction of movement of a person through an opening controlled by the barrier. A method includes detecting with a hinge sensor a closed position for the barrier, the hinge sensor being mounted to a hinge of the barrier, determining with the hinge sensor when the barrier changes position from the closed position to an open position, detecting with at least one motion sensor motion of an object in proximity to the opening, and determining a direction of movement of the object through the opening based on whether the motion is detected before or after detecting the change in position of the barrier.
