A releasable connector apparatus has a connector mandrel to be coupled to a conveyance and a housing to be coupled with a downhole tool. A socket is defined within the housing for receiving the mandrel. A latch arrangement operable within the socket has a latch member and is moveable relative to the housing between a connect position (in which the latch is locked relative to the mandrel to prevent removal of the mandrel from the socket), and a disconnect position (in which the latch is unlocked relative to the mandrel to permit removal of the mandrel from the socket). A cavity defined within the housing is sealingly isolated from the socket. An actuator mounted within the cavity is coupled to the latch arrangement to move relative to the housing between a first position (in which the arrangement is in its connect position), and a second position (in which the arrangement is in its disconnect position).

At least a portion of the ductile material of the sidewall is positioned within the recess to secure the poppet into the opening.

The collet includes a plurality of fingers that are circumferentially-offset from one another. At least one of the fingers includes a protrusion that extends adially-outward and is configured to be positioned at least partially within a recess formed in an inner surface of the body to secure the collet in place with respect to the body. The tool also includes a collet pin configured to be positioned at least partially within the body, axially-adjacent to the internal assembly, and at least partially within the collet. The collet pin is configured to contact the internal assembly to secure the internal assembly in place within the body.

The tool also includes a collet configured to be positioned at least partially within the body and axially-adjacent to the internal assembly. The collet includes a plurality of fingers that are circumferentially-offset from one another. At least one of the fingers includes a protrusion that extends adially-outward and is configured to be positioned at least partially within a recess formed in an inner surface of the body to secure the collet in place with respect to the body. The tool also includes a collet pin configured to be positioned at least partially within the body, axially-adjacent to the internal assembly, and at least partially within the collet. The collet pin is configured to contact the internal assembly to secure the internal assembly in place within the body.

Method of inserting a device in a subsea oil well, method of removing a device from a subsea oil well, and system for insertion and removal of a device in a subsea oil well

The present invention relates to methods of inserting and removing tools and/or robots into/from inside subsea oil wells. In this scenario, the present invention provides a system for insertion and removal of a device (30) in a subsea oil well (20), said system comprising (i) a WCT assembly (10) comprising a removable protective cap (40) and (ii) a WCT tool (50) connected to a receptacle (60) comprising within it the device (30), wherein the WCT tool (50) is suitable for being inserted in the place where the protective cap (40) is coupled, wherein at least one of receptacle (60) and WCT tool (50) is able to be opened or closed, releasing the device (30) into the subsea oil well (20) or retaining same inside the receptacle (60). The invention further provides methods of inserting and removing a device (30) into/from a subsea oil well (20).

The present invention relates to methods of inserting and removing tools and/or robots into/from inside subsea oil wells. A release mechanism for a jarring tool is formed by a plurality of segmented release lugs. Each lug includes a plurality of axial spaced projections on an inner surface and a plurality of grooves on an outer surface. The projections have either different widths or are separated by varying distances and releaseably engage corresponding grooves in a mandrel located within a housing of the tool. The release lugs are positioned between a trigger sleeve and the mandrel. The release lugs may be supported by an annular ring member.

A release mechanism for a jarring tool is formed by a plurality of segmented release lugs. Each lug includes a plurality of axial spaced projections on an inner surface and a plurality of grooves on an outer surface. The projections have either different widths or are separated by varying distances and releaseably engage corresponding grooves in a mandrel located within a housing of the tool. The release lugs are positioned between a trigger sleeve and the mandrel. The release lugs may be supported by an annular ring member.

TUBING HANGER RUNNING TOOL ASSEMBLY

A tubing hanger running tool assembly includes a ring extending around a tubing hanger in a wellhead, and having a contracted configuration and an expanded configuration. The ring in the expanded configuration is received into a groove in the wellhead. The assembly includes a sleeve to actuate the ring between the contracted and expanded configurations. The sleeve includes a tubing hanger running tool received through the sleeve and having a lower end that is configured to be received into a first bore of the tubing hanger and to form a connection therewith. The tubing hanger running tool is configured to transmit an axial force to the sleeve in response to the tubing hanger running tool being received into the tubing hanger. The axial force moves the sleeve axially with respect to the ring, which actuates the ring between the contracted and expanded configurations.
