A debris collection tool includes a mandrel having a longitudinal flowbore therethrough and an inner sleeve disposed around the mandrel. A first array of magnets is arranged on the inner sleeve. A second array of magnets is disposed around the inner sleeve. The first array of magnets is moveable with respect to the second array of magnets. The debris collection tool further includes an adaptor sleeve concentric with the mandrel and a linkage coupling the adaptor sleeve with the inner sleeve.

Sand accumulators to aid downhole pump operations

A first sand accumulator may include a housing and an insert within the housing. The insert includes axially aligned outer and inner sleeves. In a first position, the outer and inner sleeves both have large flow ports that align to form a continuous flow path for fluid to flow through the sand accumulator such that a vortex flow forms in the sand accumulator. A second sand accumulator may include a housing disposed in line with a wellbore tubular and an insert disposed inside the housing such that insert forms a continuous end-to-end seal with a section of the wellbore tubular. An inlet section of the insert has an inlet port configured to permit fluid flow such that a vortex flow forms in the inlet section. A method of using a sand accumulator includes introducing process fluid entrained with sand to the sand accumulator.

Catcher device for a downhole tool

A downhole catcher device comprises a catching mechanism which is configured to be transferable between a first mode and a second mode. The catching mechanism is further configured for passing by a first operation element if the catching mechanism is in the first mode and for catching a second operation element if the catching mechanism is in the second mode. The transfer between the first and the second mode is triggered (or effected) by a downhole tool which is operated by the second operation element.
