CONNECTOR SUITABLE FOR HARSH ENVIRONMENTS
A connector comprising a contact, a plunger, and a spring activated seal is provided. The contact is positioned within the housing and configured to transmit at least one of an electrical signal and an optical signal between the connector and a secondary device. The plunger is positioned within the housing and in communication with the contact. The spring activated seal comprises a flexible portion and a spring configured to urge the flexible portion to contact the housing and at least one of the plunger and a contact of the secondary device to form a fluid tight seal therebetween.
Shearable split ball seat
A frac sleeve assembly and method of operation. The frac sleeve assembly includes a ball seat that retains a frac ball. The ball seat moves within a sleeve. The sleeve includes a profile that separates the first half and the second half to allow passage of the frac ball through the ball seat when the ball seat moves within the sleeve. Alternatively, the ball seat has a ring for receiving the frac ball and the sleeve has a protrusion that selectively engages a shifting pin to move the ring with respect to a ridge to release the ball from the ball seat when the ball seat moves within the sleeve.

Methods to activate downhole tools
A method including determining a concentration of one or more components of a fluid during a wellbore servicing operation of a wellbore, and providing a trigger signal to actuate mechanical operation of a tool based on the determining of the concentration of the one or more components. The determining of the concentration of the one or more components includes contacting a sample of the fluid with a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) device to provide a sample response indicative of the concentration of the one or more components.
ROTATING CONTROL DEVICE FOR LAND RIGS
A seal and bearing includes a seal and bearing housing, a rotatable mandrel disposed within an inner aperture of the seal and bearing housing, an upper seal carrier attached to a top side of the seal and bearing housing having a dynamic sealing element that contacts the rotatable mandrel, a plurality of tapered-thrust bearings to facilitate rotation of the rotatable mandrel including top tapered-thrust bearings indirectly mounted at a positive offset angle from a perpendicular line to a longitudinal axis of the rotating control device and bottom tapered-thrust bearings indirectly mounted at a negative offset angle from the perpendicular line to the longitudinal axis of the rotating control device, a preload spacer disposed between the top and bottom tapered-thrust bearings, and a lower seal carrier attached to a bottom side of the seal and bearing housing having a plurality of removable seal carrier trays.

REFRAC LINER WITH ISOLATION COLLAR
A collar for a refracturing liner includes a body having a first end and a second end, the first end being configured to connect to a first liner segment, and the second end being configured to connect to a second liner segment. The body defines an inner diameter surface extending between the first and second ends. The collar also includes at least one radial expansion feature formed in the body, wherein the at least one radial expansion feature is configured to deform radially outward when the body is axially compressed, and wherein the at least one radial expansion feature is configured to engage a surrounding tubular and form a fluid flow barrier therewith.
ROTATING CONTROL DEVICE FOR LAND RIGS
A rotating control device includes a bowl housing with an inner aperture to receive a seal and bearing assembly. A plurality of hydraulically-actuated fail-last-position latching assemblies are disposed about an outer surface of the bowl housing to controllably extend a plurality of piston-driven dogs radially into a groove of the seal and bearing assembly. The seal and bearing assembly includes a housing, a mandrel disposed within an inner aperture of the housing, a first interference-fit sealing element attached to a bottom distal end of the mandrel, a plurality of tapered-thrust bearings indirectly mounted to the housing, a preload spacer disposed between top and bottom tapered-thrust bearings, a plurality of jam nuts to adjust a preload of the tapered-thrust bearings and a lower seal carrier attached to the seal and bearing housing comprising a plurality of dynamic sealing elements that contact the mandrel.
System and methodology for welding
A technique facilitates a welding operation in a variety of difficult environments, including downhole environments, to enable formation a dependable connection between components. A tool may be constructed to contain a material mixture used in the welding operation. The tool is conveyed to a position adjacent a weld region of components to be welded together. The material mixture is of a type which may be ignited to initiate a reaction which forms a molten metal from at least one constituent in the material mixture. Additionally, the tool comprises a nozzle oriented to direct the molten metal to the weld region so as to form a secure, welded connection between the components.
