APPARATUS AND METHOD USABLE FOR OPEN-WATER RIGLESS AND RISERLESS PLUG AND ABANDONMENT (P&A) WORK
In one system, there is an emergency pipe stroker tool, wherein the emergency pipe stroker tool is configured to act as a first mechanical barrier for a well. Further, there is an emergency quick disconnect tool in communication with the emergency pipe stroker tool, wherein the emergency quick disconnect tool comprises a connector assembly and a fluid conduit in communication with the well, and further wherein the connector assembly is configured to simultaneously detach from the well and to seal the well. Further still, there is a cement retainer in communication with the emergency quick disconnect tool and the emergency pipe stroker tool, wherein the cement retainer is configured to act as a second mechanical barrier for the well, wherein, the emergency pipe stroker tool, the emergency quick disconnect tool, and the cement retainer act in coordination to seal a well while establishing the multiple mechanical barriers.

SINGLE POINT METAL TO METAL SEAL
A metal to metal seal and method including a first sealing member and a second sealing member, wherein the first and second sealing members are attached together to form a cylindrical sealing device; a first sealing surface and a second sealing surface on the first sealing member and the second sealing member, wherein the first and second metal sealing surfaces form a metal to metal seal with an internal cylindrical sealing surface and an external cylindrical sealing surface respectively; a transverse facing recess positioned between the first and second metal sealing surfaces; a nonmetal seal received in the transverse facing recess; and at least one pressure communication hole on each of the first and second sealing members, wherein the nonmetal seal is in fluid communication with the pressure communication holes, and a pressure differential across the sealing device energizes the nonmetal seal.
Metal end cap seal
A metal end cap seal for sealing against resent invention relates to seals within a fluid system. The metal end caps of the seal include protrusions or nibs on the terminal ends of the caps, providing for reduced friction during installation and use. The seal may also include a base elastomer and an insert elastomer, the base elastomer and insert elastomer having different material properties from one another. The insert elastomer is selected to reduce friction with a sealing surface.
Apparatus and method for treating subsea fluid conduits
An apparatus and method for collecting fluid during flushing of a subsea fluid conduit such as a subsea umbilical. The apparatus comprises a vessel configured to receive fluid from the subsea fluid conduit, and a first connector for fluidly coupling the vessel to the subsea flowline. In one aspect, the apparatus comprises a second connector for fluidly coupling the apparatus to a subsea production system and a flow control system. The flow control system is configured to operate in a first mode in which flushing fluid is directed from the subsea fluid conduit into the vessel, and is configured to operate in a second mode of operation in which the fluid is diverted from the subsea flowline to the subsea production system. In another aspect, the apparatus is configured to provide a detectable signal to surface when a pre-determined volume of flushing fluid has been received in the vessel.
Tamper-evident sealing device for wells
A tamper-evident sealing device for use with a ground well (such as, for example, a water well, gas well, oil well, or the like) has been developed which takes the form of a UV-resistant, micro-perforated polymer plastic device that can be easily sealed over a well cap by applying heat. Should an unauthorized individual attempt to gain access to the well, he/she will necessarily have to break through the sealed, ventilated plastic layer, thus leaving behind indications of the tampering. In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, a conventional well cap as used in prior art well structures remains in place, with the plastic protective covering of the present invention sealed directly over the cap.

Grooved swellable packer
A swellable packer which includes a generally tubular mandrel having a central axis and an exterior cylindrical surface. The swellable packer further includes a swellable elastomeric body fixed to the exterior cylindrical surface of the mandrel, wherein the swellable elastomeric body includes a plurality of grooves and wherein the generally tubular elastomeric sleeve has a circumference and a thickness.
Syntactic foam frac ball and methods of using same
A method of servicing a wellbore comprising providing a flowable component comprising syntactic foam, communicating the flowable component into a wellbore, and allowing the flowable component to be removed from the wellbore.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR STRIPPING SOLIDS AND FLUIDS FROM A STRING USED IN DRILLING OR SERVICING WELLS
Three or more overlapping sealing members arranged circumferentially around a passage in a supporting body form an annular seal around a pipe inserted into the passage.
