The first rotating shaft and the second rotating shaft are driven in rotation by a drive system in a gear chamber. The dry rotary pump comprises a first pair of seals and a second pair of seals, each comprising a first shaft seal and a second shaft seal. The dry rotary pump comprises a pressure equalization chamber in fluid connection with a gap between the first shaft seal and the second shaft seal to regulate pressure in the gap. The gear chamber is in fluid connection with the gap, and the pumping chamber is in fluid connection with the first shaft seal and the first shaft seal by a pulsation attenuation chamber.
Seal arrangement for a switchable vane cell pump of cartridge design
A seal arrangement for a vane cell pump of cartridge design which is configured such that it can be switched into multiple flows is described. The seal arrangement comprises a first seal which is arranged so as to run around the circumference of a side plate of the vane cell pump, and a second seal which is arranged so as to run around a shaft leadthrough which is provided in the side plate. The seal arrangement is distinguished by a third seal which, apart from at least one first fluid connection, shuts off at least a second fluid connection with respect to the at least one first fluid connection within a region which is configured between the first seal and the second seal.
POLYMERIC COMPOSITE INSERT COMPONENT FOR A SCROLL COMPRESSOR
An insert component for a scroll compressor comprises a polymer and at least one reinforcing or lubricating particle. The insert component comprises an annular body and an axial projection. The annular body defines a first centrally-disposed opening having has a central axis extending therethrough. The annular body has a first side comprising a first contact surface configured to engage a partition plate and a second side a second contact surface configured to engage a floating seal assembly. The first contact surface defines a slope between first and second radial locations. The axial projection extends from the annular body and can be received in a second centrally-disposed opening of the partition plate. The insert component can fluidly seal both a first interface between the first contact surface and the partition plate and a second interface between the second contact surface and a floating seal assembly during operation of the scroll compressor.
Two-stroke internal combustion engine with a spherical chamber
An internal combustion heat engine, of which the architecture of one elementary cylinder includes 4 identical mobile couplings distributed about the Z axis of the engine, consisting of a segmented piston driven by the crank pin of a crankshaft and guided by a roller rolling in a slide. The crankshafts, which are parallel and synchronized by a gear mechanism, perform one revolution per cycle. Each piston includes a sliding surface that nearly touches the cylinder face of the adjacent piston, but on which the segmentation slides in sealed contact. The concave shape of the 4 overlapping faces encloses a chamber volume that changes cyclically: at a minimum, having a quasi-spherical shape during combustion, reducing the heat losses at the walls, and at a maximum, uncovering the ports allowing intake and exhaust via transfer units and manifolds with the possibility of more economical Miller/Atkinson distribution, via rotary plates.
Screw pump with vapor barrier
A dual-spindle screw pump having a pump housing (11) for a medium to be conveyed, in particular a foodstuff, which has a pump section (12), at least one bearing section (16) and at least one gear section (17), wherein the at least one bearing section (16) and the pump section (12) are constructed separately from one another, wherein the pump section is a product chamber (26) through which the medium is conveyed, having a conveyor housing part (13) as a constituent part of the pump section (12) in which two conveying screws (20, 21) that are arranged on shafts (18, 19) are provided, having at least one feed section (22) and at least one removal section (23) as constituent parts of the pump section (12), preferably each having a connection flange (24, 25), wherein the product chamber (26) has at least one parting line (28) having a connection to the surrounding atmosphere (29), which is provided with a vapor barrier (30) having a groove (31) as the vapor channel (38), characterized in that there is provided in the groove (31) at least one seal (40) which seals the vapor channel (38) off from the product chamber (26) and from the surrounding atmosphere (29).
